Blurb: Sequel to Relentless Passion.
Alex has already lost one lover to his brother Zeca. Now his fickle shenanigans have driven Hugh, his other lover, away as well. Alex desperately wants what his brother has, an intensely passionate relationship, so Zeca shares their father Toppy’s advice—you have to love before you can be relentless. Good advice, if Alex weren’t so afraid to follow it.
When Toppy’s own love life gets a little, um…strange, he escapes to St. Tropez. He takes Alex with him, who finds himself face-to-face with Hugh. Too bad Hugh is already lip-to-lip with someone else. But Alex has come too far to turn back now.
The game is on, and while Toppy gets up to his own sexual shenanigans under the St. Tropez sun, Alex will do anything to get back into Hugh’s life…his bed…his body. He’ll first have to learn to face his fears. Only then can he find relentless love.
Review: This story took my breath away with vivid descriptions, emotional, gut wrenching situations for the characters. Pain, betrayal, lost love so poignant I ached with Alex…then I ached with Hugh. I hated Bruce and I laughed with Toppy. The story is a wild journey of discovering what is important in life. This is Alex’s story and you know him most intimately as you read, but the cast of characters are so richly described you’ll become invested with them all. I didn’t want to the book to come to an end because I wanted Bruce to be punished for his behaviour, but maybe because of what he lost, (don’t want to tell you exactly who or what that was because I don’t want to give any spoilers in my review) but I’d like to believe he’s pining away. The book is filled with twists and a few left me dizzy with disbelief. Oh it is so nice to be swept into a story that not only entertains but is filled with hot sex between hot men. Relentless Love was a pleasure to read.

Blurb: Twins Alex and Zeca love to switch identities. It’s harmless fun until Alex wants to date a hot tourist visiting their home of Capri, and asks Zeca to take his place on a date with Alex’s current beau, Antonio. After a day in Antonio’s arms—followed by a long, lusty weekend in his bed during a trip to Naples—Zeca discovers switching places with Alex isn’t so harmless after all. Especially when he realizes he’s falling hard for his brother’s boyfriend.
While struggling with his feelings for Antonio, consoling his semi-celebrity father (who’s having woman troubles) and trying not to upset Alex (who might be in love with Antonio…or his tourist tryst…or maybe the neighbor lady), Zeca wonders how any of them will make it through all the relationship woes with hearts intact.
As Antonio says, “Love has a way of fixing things itself.”
Review: There were parts I loved, and parts I didn’t. Maybe because it was hard for me shift gears when it came to both Zeca and Alex. I didn’t like Alex. He’s selfish, spoiled and manipulating. I wanted to like Zeca, but he has qualities that I didn’t find attractive…at least at first. When he wasn’t willingly being used by Alex, he was deceitful and like his brother, I found him selfish. But with true hero heart, he redeemed himself and by the end of the story I loved him as much as Antonio does.
AJ’s attention to detail is unmatched. The story comes alive with the sense of sight, sound, smell and touch. I was definitely transported into the pages of the book. That on its own makes this story worth reading. I loved how the title plays into the story. I believed Zeca and Antonio will have relentless passion in their happily ever after.
*The slightly lower presentation score comes from the cover. Ellora’s Cave’s covers are always beautiful and sexy, but this one is misleading. I never really felt like there were three men in play within this story. It is the love story (and the yummy erotic sex) between Zeca and Antonio.

Blurb: Scarlett Rose has just had the night of her life--seven sexy cowboy brothers rescued her from danger after she is pushed off a cliff's edge by someone she trusted. Problem is, Scarlett has developed amnesia from the trauma and can’t remember anything about the accident, including the mystery villain. And before she’s even gotten a chance to recover, she finds out her new lovers are Texas longhorn shape-shifters claiming to be her destined mates!
Now the twins and triplets must go off for a weekend, leaving her with the two oldest Lenox brothers, Leo and Byron. Leo is in charge of the Lenox family, and now, for the weekend, he’s in charge of Scarlett. She’s thrilled to learn a few lessons from the alpha, as together they explore another layer of Scarlett’s newfound sexuality.
NOTE! You are purchasing Siren's newest serialized imprint, the LoveXtreme Forever Series. This is Book 2 of 9 in the Scarlett Rose and the Seven Longhorns collection. These books are not stand alone. Each is a continuation of the previous book and must be read in the numbered order. Each book may end on a cliffhanger but usually with a happy-for-now for the heroine and one or more men. The final book contains a happily forever after for the heroine and all her men.
Review: Let me start out by saying I didn’t get the “note” when selecting this book for review. So I didn’t know that I’d be lost in the story from page one. So going in I have to tell you that I felt as if I read a story with no beginning and no end since this is only the second book in the series and nothing was resolved by the end of the story except that Scarlett likes sex and her men, and while stating that they care about her, their sex needs come first as well. So I would guess by the end of (I believe 9 book series) I’m sure we’ll know they really are made for each other. All of them.
To be fair this is Siren’s hottest of the hot books. There is sex on every other page and yum, that’s a good thing for us readers that love our stories with a lot of heat. However for as much as I like a sexy story, this one didn’t work for me. The story was simply words on the page. I didn’t care for the characters; I truly don’t know them. I’m given a name, but little to no depth to let them become “real” in my head. It seems what I did glean from the words on the page was convoluted. The story was all over the place. It’s just under 25K but for me it was a struggle to finish and felt a lot longer.
This book has intrigue and deception but at the end of the story, it read as almost an afterthought, I can guess who poisoned Scarlett in a way straight out of Snow White. Scarlett is called sleeping beauty, and I admit I chuckled that there is a Scarlett and a Rhett like Gone With the Wind.
I’ve been a little rough on Leo’s Crown (which I don’t understand how the title fits in with the story) but Lola does have talent as a writer. I’d love to read a story that has a definite start and a clear ending with lots of sex between the pages, because the “section of chapters” packaged as a book didn’t work for me in this instance. I got an installment and didn’t enjoy reading the book. I have read other series that were best read in order, but you could pick up a book without being lost in the story because there was a foundation. And at the end of Leo’s Crown there are too many unanswered questions that I’m not sure what the point of the story was except to show Scarlett having lots of sex.
In order to know this story you’ll have to read all in the series. The next book is Rhett and Scarlett so I’m sure by the end we’ll hear. “Frankly, my dear, I don’t give a damn.”

Blurb: Sold to the highest-ranked aristocrat!
That's what Winnifred Percy, New York City heiress, considered her engagement to Sir David Knightsbridge, Earl of Wolshingham. It's 1902 and she wants to be a modern woman, free to travel the world. To do that she needs to show the Earl she is a completely unsuitable bride.
Smoking and cursing doesn't have much effect on David so Winn reads him a very naughty French book. That leads to unexpectedly passionate kisses, and David's declaration that he wants to marry her. Drat! Even when she takes him to Coney Island to mingle with ordinary people and eat exotic hot dogs he's intrigued...and intriguing.
When desire leads them into scandal, Winn realizes she's ruined his hopes for restoring his family's honor. Can she let him go to find a more suitable bride?
Review: While I myself did not consider this story erotic, I will be the first to say that it did contain a lot of graphic words All the better, right? Now as for the story? I really enjoyed it. From the beginning the heroine is sassy and willing to do whatever it takes to live her own life…even if it backfires I laughed so freaking hard that I thought I was going to make a mess in my chair!

All of it, the hero, heroine, the naughtiness…all written well and very engaging. I found myself feeling sorry that the story was over when I got to the last page.

Blurb: Leigh Sexton is desperate to have a baby, and Brian Hathaway would be the perfect bio-dad. A notorious Chicago playboy, Brian is no family man, which suits Leigh just fine. An heiress and successful CPA, she is more than capable of raising a child alone. Now all she has to do is work up the nerve to ask Brian to impregnate her...artificially. Leigh has no interest in conceiving the old-fashioned way, despite how her heart races when she's near him.
Brian is intrigued by Leigh's request. He's not into commitment, even with a woman as attractive as Leigh, but he's also not the type to make a deposit and then disappear. If he goes along with her scheme, he's got one demand of his own: marriage before conception. He agrees to keep things clinical—he can get sex elsewhere—but having a wife at home will keep the husband-hunters at bay.
It seems like the ideal compromise—until they start falling in love.
Review: I found the premise for the story interesting based on the blurb. Once I got started I was torn a bit. I found the story hard to follow in places. Both of the characters seemed to grate on each other and while I think that it was the point, I began to question both of them and found myself getting miffed with them. Brian, while handsome, came off as a bit of an ass. Leigh, a woman who so desperately wanted to have a baby that she was willing to go into a marriage for the sake of becoming pregnant via AI, then drinking alcohol after the pregnancy is confirmed, I was not impressed with some of her choices or the way she handled some situations.
I was a little disturbed by Brian’s constant statement that he wasn’t going to “rape” Leigh. I think that there could have been any number of other phrases used to get the point across that he wasn’t an animal that would just pounce on her unwillingly.
I was torn. There were times when I was so sucked into the story that I didn’t want to stop reading and other times when I was so pissed that I didn’t want to continue. Was the writing good? Yes. Did I connect with the characters? Sometimes. Would I read it again? Eh. I really don’t know. Perhaps someday but It certainly wasn’t one that left me breathless.

Review: A well written tale that has a lot going on between the covers :)
With emotion that just rolls off the pages and a few stories going at once, I really felt like I was part of a bigger picture :) While maybe not quite what I expected, the story was able to catch me and pull me in. I had a very hard time putting it down for anything short of a house fire :) Yeah, dinner was a little late. Oh well. It was totally worth it :)

Blurb: Desperate times call for desperate measures…
When Tyler Garahan said he’d do anything to save his family’s ranch, he never thought that would include taking a job as a stripper at a local ladies’ club. But the club’s fiery redheaded bookkeeper captures Tyler’s attention, and for her, he’ll swallow his pride…
And one good turn deserves another…
Emily Langley feels for the gorgeous cowboy. It’s obvious that he’s the real deal and wouldn’t be caught dead in a ladies’ revue if he wasn’t in big trouble. And when he looks at her like that, she’ll do anything to help…
Working days on the ranch and nights at the ladies’ club, Tyler is plumb exhausted. But could it be that his beautiful boss needs him just as much as he needs her...
Review: There were parts of this story that were so briliant, so touching and so laugh-out-loud funny that I thought I was imagining it all. If I overlook the fact that the two main women in the story do a lot of things that I felt were over the top for the general female population then I have to say that it was one of the best book sthat I have read this year.
Not only was Tyler smokin' hot, but to "watch" him fumble through becoming a stripper was so cute and funny that I just wanted to scoop him up has never let him go. All in all it was pretty rocking and I would totally recomend the read :)

Blurb: Jack and Reece have known Christina since high school, but she's never shown a preference for one or the other. Unwilling to risk destroying their lifelong friendship, neither man has confessed his feelings for her.
Christina is the girl no one notices. At least that's what she thinks. She's in love with Reece and Jack, but they treat her only as a friend. Besides, apart from the fact that neither has romantic notions, she'd never be able to choose between them if they did.
But a devastating bushfire and the tragic loss of their homes and many neighbors' highlights how precious life is and how important it is to grasp the happiness you want. The relationship that grows is one none of them had previously thought possible, but will it survive the condemnation of more conservative social conventions?
Review: This is a story that once finished, you feel as if you’ve been on a journey with the characters. There was plot, great characters, risk and reward. The opening pages are heart-pounding action. The descriptions are vivid, dangerous, and held me hostage as I devoured the words. I was scared with Christina. You could feel the scene building in intensity, knowing that something big was about to happen and then it does. I can only imagine the terror at knowing homes are being destroyed, but also that lives are being lost. Oh, I just ached as I read. But then there is Reese and Jack and the development of the love story is erotically sweet. The sexual components are hotter than the fire, but the tenderness between them will make your heart swoon. I really enjoyed reading Fire. I liked that as much attention was given to the characters and the “story” as there was to the sex. This is an excellent story and one I didn’t want to put down.

Blurb: Gavin Dimarco is a journalist for The Los Angeles Times. As Gavin Martin, however, he is a successful author of historical mystery novels. When his agent calls with an opportunity to be the next reality TV “Bachelor,” he agrees—with one stipulation. None of the ladies vying for his heart can know his true identity until the end of the show. Gavin’s past has made him leery of women seeking his fortune, and that fear has left him alone, with only his dog and his love of reading as company. When Gavin meets the girl of his dreams right before Most Eligible airs, he’s ready to abandon the show. Everyone knows that you can’t find true love in a week on a TV show. When Hollywood reality meets Gavin’s reality, he has to make a tough choice—is he still eligible?
Review: One thing that you don’t get from the blurb is that this story is in first person. If I put that aside because it really isn’t that big a deal, I still just didn’t dig the story which is really sad because I really wanted to.
The blurb really snagged me but once I got started I found myself left wanting. The majority of the story is being “told” to the reader. Not an active dialogue and for me that just made me feel like I was missing so much of the story. It seemed to just fly through some parts and linger over others that I really wasn’t interested in.
The idea that these 2 people could fall in love after only 5 or 6 days of knowing each other and only about a couple hours of any type of conversation just wasn’t believable to me. I realize that there are times when folks just click with each other but I still had a really hard time buying it.
The author had a way with words and attention to certain details but I think I would like to read something else by her before I make a final call to put her on my must read list.

Blurb: Oooey, gooey ribbons of delectable melted cheese sandwiched between butter-crisped slices of sourdough, wheat, rye, and even focaccia and croissant, combined with favorite foods such as bacon, pequillo peppers, guacamole, seasonal veggies, caramelized onions, pears, herbs, and so much more—what is there not to love about the modern grilled cheese?
Review: All I can say about this cookbook is that it is a wonderfully fascinating and imaginative collection of the childhood favorite generously crafted for adults :) While I may have cocked my head at one or two of the combinations I am here to say that I did try a few and WOW!!! I will never think of this sandwich as ordinary again.
Trust me, I am not the only one in my family that enjoyed this collection...even though I was the only one who read it :) I found several that even my kids liked. Hubby, who is sometimes leary about trying new things told me he was very glad that I tried some of these. While I am not sure that I will make the gormet versions of my family favorite very often due to the cost of some of the cheese used, you can be sure that upon occasion I will be trecking to the deli to procure the ingrediants needed to surprise my loved ones with a few of these palate pleasing, gooey treats :)

Blurb: Minerva Richards, a local politician, is a woman who has never had an orgasm. Her friends tease her about her prudish nature but cannot get her to lighten up. One night, after a few margaritas, she loses a bet and has to take a sex toys training class at a local adult store.
Though very uncomfortable surrounded by sexy gadgets, Minerva vows to get through the class, if only to shut her friends up.
There she sees Danny, her dogs' veterinarian, and she's sure she'll die from embarrassment. But as the class moves along, her barriers break down and Minerva finds herself doing things she'd never imagined. Can one two-hour class change her views about sex forever?
Review: OMG!!!!!! Okay, so I like to think I am pretty open-minded. I know what I like both in books and…..yeah you get the idea. But I TOTALLY did NOT get any impressions whatsoever that the main female character in this story was going to be a grandmother based on the blurb!
Now I realize that some women become grandmothers at a pretty young age but still. The image that popped into my mind was not that of a younger woman. All description of her went out the window when I read that she was a grandmother. Suddenly I saw my Nana creeping into the back of a sex toy shop. EWWW!
As I continued to read I just kept getting more and more Nana images in my mind. When finally her age was revealed it was late forties to early fifties. Don’t get me wrong, I love great descriptions and reading about the teachers “full ass, dimpled with cellulite” that jiggled with every step sure got a snort from me. Again I pictured my Nana in that classroom looking at those naughty pictures and cringing.
The cock ring demonstration and Grannies response to it had me laughing so hard I thought I would wet myself. And I kept reading. So we continue through a girl on girl floor show about how to use a dildo and then the other members of the class start to get frisky with their partners.
Nana and her Vet get on the same page that they like each other and then start to kiss when in her mind she screams “Have mercy on a grandma” AHHH!!! I literally clamped my hands over my mouth and screamed! (Hell, even as I write this my cheeks are cramping from me smiling so hard!)
Yes there is Memaw and Papaw sex but it wasn’t over the top with descriptions. So here is my sum up of this story. NOT WHAT I EXPECTED!! But holy Hell if you want to laugh your ass off then you have got to pick this one up! I am not sure when the last time was that I enjoyed a shorty this much.

Blurb: Sara Miller needs a real man. One who can give her what she desires—in and out of bed. So far, none have met her expectations. She’s hoping all that will change after submitting her application to Carnal Desire’s internet dating service.
As the owner of several prize-winning horses and more money than he knows what to do with, Andy McDonald has it all. Except for the love a good woman. He’s sick of flighty bimbos wanting only his money and not satisfying his sexual desires. After a friend pressures him into looking online for a woman, Andy gives in and submits his application.
Sex takes on a new twist when Sara and Andy get together and nothing is taboo.
Review: Cute, sexy, hot and naughty. That pretty well sums up this little tale. While I had some reservations about them having sex only minutes after meeting, the author was able to put enough explanation into it that I dealt.
Hot sex and a promise for more? What better for a quick afternoon or bedtime read?

Review: This super short story is exactly as described in the blurb. It’s hot, it’s vampires, it’s cowboys, yep it’s everything you want in a short story to turn the heat up on your afternoon. At only 8 pages, there isn’t deep exploration into the characters. I say, who cares. The story is well written and has a deliciously graphic love scene with all the reasons m/m is such a turn on to read.

Blurb: Ember is into the whole abduction scenario. She tries and tries to coach her boyfriend Damien in the fine art of being her abductor and sexual tyrant. It's not working. One night, while locked in his truck's tool box, she's towed from Damien's property. Lucas Crow, freelance repo man and all around growly dominant, rescues her from her self-imposed prison. He even takes her home, feeds her and gets her cuffs off when it becomes evident that Damien is not coming to her rescue.
Taken with Ember and her story, Lucas gives her a choice. Stay in her unhappy relationship and play 'games' (basically dominating Damien by dictating his behavior) or stay with him as his 'captive' and learn what true surrender is. It's like learning to drown, giving up to get where you want to be. Ember is eerily taken with this man and his quiet and sure ways. The more she discovers the more she wants to discover. Like his history, his back story, where that sexy scar in his eyebrow came from.
Review: Oh Sommer, what a naughty girl you are. Let me start by saying that I am a HUGE Sommer fan. Have been since I read Bittersweet and it has not really slacked any since.
With that in mind you should know that when I started reading this one I was a bit worried that it might be just a bit too much for me, but in true Sommer style, she was able to pull me back and suck me in. Brutal, bitter, borderline. Sweet, sympathetic and brazen. This story will NOT be for everyone. Even fans of erotic romance, erotica and heavy BDSM lovers might think this one a bit too edgy. While I may not have the same sexual desires as the heroine, the emotion in this story was….emotional. I felt the pain and the confusion. I wanted it to end for both of them…all of them.
Sommer is one of those writers that can create a symphony on the pages and even if you aren’t a lover of classical music you may still find yourself closing your eyes and letting the beauty of the melody wash over you.
This story, along with all her others, has definitely sealed the deal. I will read ANYTHING that Sommer Marsden EVER writes!!!! She is just that damn good.

Blurb: Jen's always been a daddy's girl, even though her dad isn't her real dad. She's just now coming home to Pleasant Parks on her way to a brand new life. She's got a thriving sex life, she's had tons of fun, and she's gotten a goodly amount of wildness out of her system.
Gil, her stepfather, welcomes her home with open arms and a huge hug. After all, it’s her home too. He even semi-welcomes (or tries to put on a good show of it) her tagalong guy of the moment Carl. Gil’s all on his own now that Jen’s mother took off and left him for Marty McMurtry. A situation that breaks her heart the more she sees of his solitary life.
The longer Jen’s home, the more she wonders how her mother ever could have walked away from a man like Gil. When her long suppressed feelings for her step father come bubbling to the surface, she’s shocked to find that Gil has his own feelings for her. Emotions and passions and turmoil run high as their torrid affair unfolds.
There are a lot of folks whose tongues would wag if they knew what Jen and Gil were doing together. And as Jen’s relationship with Carl fractures and she tries to deal with her haunting resentments toward her mother, she almost doesn’t notice herself falling hard for her stepfather. Almost.
Review: The style of writing is easy on the eyes. The words flow off the page and into your mind and as you keep reading, you’re intimately drawn into Jen. Her emotions are conflicted. Her attraction…it’s more than attraction. Gil is the one person she’s been able to count on in her life. He’s her rock, but those protective feelings get wrapped around intimate feelings now that she’s grown up. Like falling in love with a best friend, only Gil isn’t a friend, it’s her stepfather.
Don’t let the taboo connection stop you from reading this story. It’s not an easy journey for them and Jen has childlike moments and Gil still is in the father/parent role. But I think that’s what makes this book so engaging. I admit, I even got off a bit that she was calling him daddy. Carl was just the catalyst needed to spark some fire between Jen and Gil. I loved this story. It feeds the filthy, wicked woman inside me that loves to read about relationships outside of normal. Hot, graphic sex that left me aching, characters that touched my heart and a story that will stay on the keeper shelf with Parker’s other works.

Blurb: Sometimes your first love is the one that was meant to be.
Craig Harper and Jeremy Finn were best friends growing up. They attended the same school, spent all of their time together, and hung out with the same group of people. It wasn’t until the day before Jeremy and his family moved across the country that they discovered their attraction to one another.
Fifteen years later, they reunite by chance in New York City. Both are in relationships and have established a routine in their lives. But routines and relationships are shaken as they begin to spend time together once again. Old feelings and connections are still strong and the passion that pulls them together is a powerful, soul-searing call neither man can deny.
As each deals with the issues in their own relationships, they begin to question whether the comfort of what they know is more powerful than the pull of what they could have been…and what they might become. Struggling to find the answer, only their hearts can reveal if they are meant for each other.
Review: I finished reading Meant For Each Other this afternoon, and I’m still thinking about the story. It’s just one of those books that will seep into your psyche slowly. You read it and as the characters are making choices, you’re experiencing the emotions right along with them. So many times I wanted to smack Craig up side the head. Both he and Jeremy needed to be hit by a Mack truck to realize what I, the reader, already knew. (The brilliance of getting the POV of the four main characters) But had the ending come easy, the journey to be together wouldn’t have been nearly as satisfying. And at the end of this story, you’ll have lived and breathed each character because DH Starr does a wonderful job of taking you into each of their lives. Four characters, four sets of dreams and aspirations, four characters you’ll love or hate, but in the end, this is Jeremy and Craig’s story.
Meant For Each Other is a complex story and the layers are peeled away slowly. No one is jumping in and out of bed, (Oh, except Craig’s boyfriend who I really did hate by the end of the story). That isn’t to say there isn’t smoking hot sex in this book, because there is. But the sex has purpose, taking me deeper into their thoughts and motivations. I’ve never been to New York, but I felt like I walked the streets with them. I could hear their voices, and see them so clearly. A lot of story happens before Jeremy and Craig are reunited, but that didn’t detract from the romance. I needed to know where they came from and how they were each missing something intangible in their lives. It was after seeing each other again, that they realize they were meant for each other. But both already have complicated lives. Could happiness be as easy as loving each other? No, because then we wouldn’t have this wonderful story of risk and reward, trust and forgiveness and knowing when to move on when what you have isn’t working. Even if it means moving on alone. Oh, just writing this review is making me ache all over again.

Blurb: Whips. Blindfolds. Restraints. And a man rumored to be the most skilled Dom in the city... As the BDSM instructor at the hottest fetish club in Los Angeles, Bianca Alexander prides herself on being open, honest, and informative with her clientele when it comes to kink. The fact that she hasn't knelt before a master of her own in four long years doesn't affect her ability to teach, though a part of her longs to be back in her Dom's arms. But when her boss hires Cade Sinclair--her primary rival from a competing club--to assist teaching her classes, Bianca's comfortable solo act becomes a sinful duet drenched in Pure Sin.
Review: I read this story when it first came out in e-book with The Wild Rose Press. When I realized it was now available in audio I knew I had to hear it. I still really like the story. Nothing has changed in that. There are still great characters, a great plot and emotions that damn near choked me with intensity.
The only difference between this review and the original review I wrote is the presentation of the story. While I felt the reader did a pretty good job reading and filled the story with both emotion and brought the characters to life, I found several editing issues with the audio book. Most belonged in a single chapter where I found several instances when the reading was all spliced together a couple times it was repeated. Almost like the splice just went into the wrong…… just went into the wrong place before the story carried on.
Aside from these issues overall the product was as good as I expected. A really good story put into an audio form. This is one that I could listen to a bunch :)

Blurb: Sabena Darin had the equivalent of a school girl crush on Gavin Brooks, a guy she worked along side of for the last two years. He was volunteered to be the office Cupid and pass out the goodies.
As she walked by his office, Sabena saw him bent over retrieving something that fell to the floor. Her imagination went crazy and she pictured herself slapping his butt with gusto. Gavin caught her eying him and warned her that spanking Cupid had consequences.
Despite his warning and with his permission, Sabena gave into her urge. It wasn’t until later in the day did find out warnings were put in place for a reason.
Review: Not bad.
This was a cute, short, naughty little read with a nice dose of lite BDSM. Office romances are way up there in my book of what I enjoy but it is even better when they work…and this one does. This one is well written and I believed it all. Nice

Nice

Blurb: Elisa is discovering she has a thing for a man in a uniform. Or maybe it's just this man. Something about him throws her hormones into overdrive. What starts as a simple ride alongside a policeman soon turns into something more—something passionate, unexpected—and all in a public place.
Review: Few words are needed to review this short story. It’s fantasy come to life. Hot cop, horny woman, vibrator and raunchy sex. If that isn’t titillating, read this super short story and be prepared for your computer screen to go up in smoke. And remember, this is erotica and half the fun is in the “what if?” What if you were driving around the city with a cop and every time you glanced in his direction, you squirmed a little on your seat. Well, at the first opportunity Elisa tries to take the edge of…only it’s a cop’s duty to serve. And yowza, does he ever. Hot and fun.

Blurb: Alana MacGregor craves excitement, but when her sometimes lover dumps her at a popular sex club, she wonders if she’s outgrown her live-fast-and-recover-later lifestyle. The last thing she expects is to run into the nerdy guy she rebuffed in high school—or for him to rock her world in ways no other man ever has.
Hot on the trail of a story, Carter Nicholas can’t believe his luck at encountering the one woman he’s never forgotten. He’s come a long way from being a wall-hugging geek. Now he gets all A’s between the sheets. But can he convince Alana he’s her sure ticket to an unforgettable night—and maybe much more?
Review: Just didn’t jive for me. At all.
Yes, the sex was pretty hot and if that was all I had expected then fine but…..I had some issues. I didn’t like Alana. She came off as almost willing to take the first man she came across and it just rubbed me wrong. I spent more time feeling sorry for Carter than I did caring if they ended up together.

Blurb: Rachel McAllister tried to dissuade Rory Callahan’s interest, she’d been hurt by love too many times before, but Rory had been as relentless as a dog after a bone. She gave in, but made one thing perfectly clear from the start—no sex until she said, “I do.” If Rachel knew one thing about men, it was that you gave them what they wanted—sex—and they’d be out the door before the sun came up. Rory has passed all her tests and jumped through her hoops to prove his love. They’re ready to say, “I do”, and Rachel’s ready to erase any of Rory’s lingering regrets about waiting to have sex.
Rory fell head over heels for Rachel at first sight. Getting her to date him was another matter altogether. He’d followed all her rules and has barely complained about her strict moral code. Now he’s going to marry her for better or worse. He’s about to find out his goody-two-shoes bride-to-be is a fiery vixen who’s too hot to handle.
Review: I have been enjoying the BRANDED line from EC. Sexy stories where the characters are married couples. Hey, married couples get kinky too :)
I was really looking forward to this one after reading the blurb, and while I enjoyed the plot, the quirks and the funny situations, I wondered a bit about the heroine. She seemed to flip back and forth from dirty girl to prim and reserved. I understood her reservations and her fears about having sex before they were married but I guess I just expected her to be a bit kinkier after the wedding than what she was.
Even with my previous paragraph I don’t want you to think that I didn’t enjoy the story because I did. It was a quirky, funny, sexy fast read that was worth the time :) You should take a look for yourself.

Blurb: A SPECIAL NEW YEAR TRIPLE TREAT
Avery Donovan has escaped after being held captive almost thirty years. He is injured and on the run seeking refuge. While making his way across a ranch in southern Montana, he catches the unique smell of his mates. Alone and scared, he decides to trust fate and follow the scent of his men.
Childhood friends, Cord Hartwell and Tyson Fitzgerald, have spent decades denying their feelings for each other until one day, an injured saber tooth tiger shows up on their front porch, shifts into a gorgeous man, and changes their lives. Avery has forty-eight hours to convince them he is their mate and claim them, or he will die.
Will Cord and Ty finally admit their feelings for each other and their desire for Avery, or will they continue to deny their feelings and risk losing their chance at happiness?
Review: Good story with good characters that Joyee Flynn penned with style and flair. I think this story will be a great read for those who love hot erotic ménage sex scenes, a bit of suspense and good writing.
The opening is strong and I like how Avery initiates the “encounter.” His open, free spirit is remarkable considering what he’s been through in captivity. Cord and Ty are a couple even if they didn’t openly admit it. They were together because they wanted to be and when Avery comes into their lives, they realize how much more is between them…between all three of them.
I will say that there are times when the characters lose their maleness and the story becomes too sappy and sweet (I love men who act like men). Maybe it was all the cuddling and Avery being carried around. Avery had to be strong to endure his captivity and from the hints and information we’re given, it was a horrible existence. For him to them be needy and clingy seemed out of character. I preferred him when he was sassy and determined. He was fighting for his life and freedom knowing he was still hunted. All this makes for great suspense, so in those parts the story had me riveted.
When you reach the ah-ha moment, where you know why the book is titled Here, Kitty Kitty, I think you’ll smile just like I did.

Blurb: A sequel to Backwoods and Shivaree.
Six months ago Natalie drove away from Louisiana and a three-day, two-man rebound to be reckoned with. Now back in snowy Rochester, she wasn’t expecting to see either of those Southern gentlemen again. She certainly wasn’t expecting to find one standing in her work parking lot one afternoon without a word of warning.
Cold turkey is what Shane’s after. He’s been with his lover Gabriel for a year now—a year of hot sex and obsessive attraction that’s left him with a death grip on the tattered remains of his heterosexuality and too many sleepless nights. Desperate for a clean break, Shane hopes hiding out at Natalie’s for a week or two will do the trick. She sure as hell owes him one fine rebound.
But Shane quickly discovers that banishing Gabriel from his heart and his head is easier said than done. His cold-turkey recovery is headed straight for an epic relapse, and Shane’s going to have to make a choice—the traditional life he thinks he wants, or the man he can’t seem to live without.
Review: I’m not sure which sentiment is stronger. The fact that the book was fantastic and I loved the read or that I loved the read but it left me feeling sort of sad because the series seems to come to a close and I don’t wan it to end.
The flavor of this story was different than I expected. While it was sexy, and erotic, had sex that made me breathless and squirm on my chair, it also left my stomach churning. The pain and confusion in Shane is palpable. I ached with him and loved Natalie for being a true friend to him.
Gabriel is absent for much of the story, but when he reemerges on the page, my heart raced and I wasn’t sure, as a reader, what I wanted to happen. Well, it’s a good thing Cara is brilliant. Because as the last third of the book unfolds, each word kept me riveted to the page. I loved Gabriel’s confession and when Shane gives in to his heart, mine melted too. Natalie knows when to step out of the scene and I loved that. This book definitely ends on a note unlike the other two. Yeah, you’ll be emotionally bruised but it felt so good to travel the journey with them.

Blurb: Owen thought he had everything he'd ever wanted.
In love with his best friend Daniel, Owen is thrilled when they finally explore their growing attraction and each other's bodies. But nothing good lasts for long.
Owen is shocked when Daniel tells him he can't come out of the closet. He can't be gay. Crushed and alone, Owen tries to mend his heart, but these things take time. Thankfully, there are a few things that speed up the healing process.
When Owen sees a gorgeous guy by the name of Titan jerking off at a urinal, Owen wonders if single life will be such a bad thing after all.
Review: For the sex, this story is good, but a bit mechanical. There was good action, but without any investment in the characters, I didn’t feel any of it. It was like a few pages were pulled from a bigger story. What filler there was to give the story a small semblance of romance, and to connect the two sex scenes, failed to deliver. In fairness to the author, I knew what I was getting when requesting a book with so few pages, but in those pages I was expecting a better story. I’ve read Mr. Wolf before and this one doesn’t meet the standard he’s set for himself with other published works. That said, it’s still okay. But in a super short story, where really the only purpose is to give the reader sex on an “ereader”, I wanted better sex.

Review: This was a pretty cute story. Had the super strong emotions not come so fast after these two meet I would have found it much more believable… HOWEVER it was still a really cute read.
The whole Naughty Godmother thing? ROCKED!! I loved the entire spin on the fairy world and how Holly used to be a Tooth Fairy. Very cool and imaginative. The sex was hot and the story flowed very well.
All in all a good fast read that left me with a smile :)

Blurb: Marine Corps Staff Sergeant Peter Goodwin is on vacation. With no family of his own, he heads out on post-deployment leave to a buddy’s hometown. He expected snow, some relaxation and maybe a willing woman. But he never expected to find a woman like Sarah—someone who makes him think about more than a quick affair.
Sarah has been done with men for years. Ditched in a tiny town by her now-ex, she made the most of her life by standing on her own two feet. Men complicate things. But when one sexy “complication” strolls into town on leave, Sarah figures there’s no harm in a quiet, simple vacation fling. After all, the rules are spelled out from the start. He leaves, she stays.
The passion that sparks between them is a welcome surprise. But Sarah’s more than just a fling—she’s the key to Pete’s best friend’s past. Now Pete has a decision to make, but either choice will hurt someone he cares for.
Review: HOT HOT HOT!!!! This story was wicked awesome. A total winner and a great sequal.
The characters kicked ass, the plot was smokin’ and the flow was wonderful. With palatable emotions throughout, my breath literally caught more than once. Now, for those of you who don’t dig stories that contain a lot of “coincidence” this and the first story may not be for you. For me? I loved them both. I would love to see a third story with Tony and could totally see these as a print collection….but that’s just me :)

Blurb: The enchantress on stage at an amusement park review captivates new Chicago Police Department Captain Patrick Sullivan. Stunned to learn she’s the infamous defense attorney, Charlie Demarco, who substituted for her twin at the performance, Pat battles Charlie in and out of the courtroom. With CPD cutbacks and a serial murderer to apprehend, Pat struggles to uphold the law and his reputation, while Charlie seems determined to undermine him. Chained to her job to restore her family’s finances, Charlie has no choice but to defend the criminals Pat wants behind bars. Her biggest battle yet involves defending her heart against Patrick Sullivan.
Review: The cover definitely caught my eye. The old frame house with broken windows and a baseball bat at the bottom of the cover made me want to read the story to find out if it was kids mischief or.......
This is book four of a series and I usually don't like to start a series in the middle because I feel like I am missing some of the events that that would fill me in when things are mentioned that happened previously. I read the "Kudos for K M Daughters before I started reading the story and wondered if they were build-ups. When I finished reading the story, I went back to the "kudos" page and agreed with the descriptions there. Romantic Suspense, crisp dialogue, believable characters, hard to put down, balance of action and drama are some of the comments and I agree with all of them. It is a well written story.
The prologue sets the stage describing a man with big problems, Wow, is he a psycho or what?
Patrick Sullivan is a policeman who meets Charlie and is immediately attracted to her; the feeling is returned. Instant hot, filled with lust, attraction describes them. Then he finds out she is a defense attorney for the "most prestigious law firm in Illinois". Uh oh he's a cop and she is a defense attorney, they are on opposite sides in the courtroom. Overcoming their differences adds a lot of conflict to their relationship.
Italicized portions keep interrupting what is happening between Patrick and Charlie. These descriptions get more and more intense and sadistic. The serial killer likes baseball bats. You can read for yourself why he likes them. It makes me gag just to think about him and the bats. UGH. Oh, and talking about the ugh factor; the description of Charlie eating her rare hamburger "blood tinged, juices leaking onto her hands" totally grossed me out.
The descriptions in this story of food, of the Chicago scenes, and others made me feel like I was part of the story. Food descriptions made me ravenous (well not the hamburger description) I had to get up and go to the refrigerator and find a snack.
Other characters are described in almost as much detail as Pat and Charlie. Senator Morgan needs to have some manners slapped into him. Shirlee, the hooker who escapes the murderer, and her son Lincoln become more than victims, they are 'real' people, not just secondary characters in a story.
I am not a reader of this kind of suspense usually, but once I started, I just had to continue. I don't know that I would read All's Fair again, its violence is more graphic than I care for, especially as late night reading; but I do want to read the three earlier books in this series.

Blurb: Felicity Truro's diary is filling up with problems. First there's the ugliest bridesmaid's dress in the world, then there's her sick aunt's serious secret. But it's Rod McAllister, the handsome firefighter best man with attitude, who's melting her willpower and frazzling her nerves the most.
Can Flick survive being a bridesmaid for the eleventh time whilst falling for the best man? And how will she cope when Rod needs a stand-in and she's promoted to top of the candidate list?
Review: The blurb really grabbed. I could have done without all the email, IM, voice mails and diary excerpts.
Really the idea for the story and the plot were cute. But for me, it was a bit…daunting. I don’t mind emails and such thrown in on occasion in a story. Hey, it’s the world we live in now, but I just got bogged down with the sheer number in this story. I would have enjoyed it much more without nearly as many.
Don’t get me wrong, the author did a good job with the writing. The way it was presented just wasn’t for me.

BDSM, contemporary Erotic Romance
Blurb: When Thursday comes up with a plan to beat the new girl at her own game, she doesn’t realize nothing will ever be the same.
Oh, it works at first. She spends an amazing weekend with Scary, but what starts as a fun way to get her privileges back ends all too soon. When the other Masters point out that he’s keeping her to himself, that he needs to start following his own rules, Scary does something not a single one of them would have ever expected.
Review: This story was about as close to perfect as I could wish for. I’ve loved this series. I thought it was wonderfully titillating and I would encourage you to read the stories is order as the climatic third installment has greater impact knowing what Thursday and Scary have gone through to be together. The story builds with heart pounding intensity. There is so much risk to reward. Every action has a consequence and reaction. You read the story, devouring the words, knowing that Ms. Hillman is going to stomp all over your emotions, make you hot, make you gasp, make you want to scream and leave the knot of emotion twisting in your belly that tells you that you’ve read a story that is going to stick with you for a long time. I felt as if I were Thursday during the story and having finished the book, I ached a bit because I wasn’t going to have scary around anymore. And damn, but I want a scary for myself. He’s edgy, yet exudes sophistication. He’s powerful but can use such a tender touch you’ll tremble as you read. Okay, so you can probably guess that I now love Ms. Hillman as much as I love her characters because of a couple of bucks she offers such amazing entertainment with her books.
The story reads fast. The words flow with a smoothness that makes the moments that you’re in the story fly by. Her characters are richly described not only their physical descriptions, but you know them intimately. It’s a damn good book and one I will read again.

Blurb: Arriving home for Christmas, the last thing Jacob Scott expects in his house is a sexy, shotgun-toting stranger. Worse, his attraction to her bothers him even more than the gun. Still reeling from the deception of his long-time girlfriend, he’s not looking for romance.
Tessa Jones has learned one hard lesson—when everyone in your life has failed you, the only one you can trust is yourself. Facing the whispers of the townsfolk and an arson charge, Tessa unexpectedly finds herself trusting Jacob with more than her legal troubles.
Struggling between the promise of the present and the hurts of the past, can these two lost souls overcome their pain long enough to discover a gift beyond all measure?
Review: The first few lines caught my attention. Jacob comes home unexpectedly early in the middle of the night and hears “a round chambered into a shotgun" and a challenge of trespassing. Well, I don't know if you have ever heard a shotgun or seen the destruction one can create, but, I have. Believe me I would freeze motionless (that is, if I didn't mess my britches).
Tessa is a cook who is being charged with arson in a local town. Jacob is an attorney who works for a big firm in the city. These two have many differences to overcome. She is living in his home. She seems to be a fire waiting to happen, hmmm is that an emotional fire or a logs burning type? He is nine years older, is that too much? Tessa has had many promises broken in the past, will Jacob add to the list? Tessa thinks she is reaching too high, he's an attorney and she is a cook. They have a huge gap in educations, law school and high school. And, of course, there are all kinds of misunderstandings to overcome. Even their childhood family lives were complete opposites.
I enjoyed reading this short story, only 110 pages. The main characters were well developed, through actions, dialogues, and through their thoughts. Other characters added much depth and interest to the story. Jacob's sister and her family lived nearby and his sister just had to be involved in helping their romance along. Tessa's estranged mother shows up after fourteen years and wants to make amends to her. Even Cyrus and his dad added a lot in the end when Tessa finds out that Cyrus was not being abused by his father, only a clumsy kid. Dialogue is great, some funny conversations made me laugh, others made me want to cry. So I would say, parts of this story were very emotionally involving.
Overall I liked, really enjoyed, this story. I wish it had been longer, one of those 250 page novels. I did not want to stop reading, and ended up staying up until after midnight because I just had to finish it.
Oh, and I really really enjoyed the recipes that followed. I can't wait to try the Better Than Sex Brownies.

Blurb: When her father’s death leaves her in need of the protection of marriage, Miranda MacDonough travels from her home in Scotland to live in England with an aunt she hardly knows. There, she will learn everything necessary to make her into an acceptable society lady. The only problem is, the one man who makes her heart beat faster and her breath difficult to catch belongs to someone else.
Hugh Montgomery, the Duke of Thorpeton, has spent his life doing exactly what was expected of him, right down to the woman he is expected to marry, one chosen for him. What he hadn’t expected was to meet a woman such as Miranda, who will turn his world upside down and leave him torn between honoring his father’s dying wish or surrendering to his desire.
Review: Okay, so what started out as a little bit of a slow story for me soon raced along like a dog after a rabbit. Fast and furious in a crazy race to reach the end and the final prize.
This story was as good as I’d hoped when I read the blurb and requested to review it. As most of you know, I do not select a book for review unless it is one that I would be tempted to buy. This one totally rocked and I am so glad that I got to read it. The characters were well written and likeable…well, those that were supposed to be liked were and those who weren’t weren’t) Emotions ran rampant and were almost leaping from the pages.
While I wish that the Scottish burr had been a bit more consistent through the story, not over the top mind you but even just the consistent Scottish burr to a single word throughout would have kept me a bit more seated in my mind that she was Scot. As it is I got great lengths with no accent and a chunk of heavy burr spaced here and there. I understand why the author chose not to have the heavy accent present through the entire story, but I found my mind lending Randi an English accent more than the Scottish it should have been. So when I came across a section of dialogue where the accent was heavy I stumbled and suddenly in my mind she was speaking differently :) Made for an interesting movie in my mind…The actress changing accents throughout ;)
Other than that I really enjoyed this title and have to say that I would be happy to read more from this author in the future :)
