Review: YOWZA!!!

There are many things that I could say about this novella…and all of them are good :) Did I scare you? Shouldn’t have :) One look at the score says that I dug it and boy did I. A total kick in the pants with an ending that left me happy yet still wondering.

Do I have you interested? Wanna know what happens? Now, you know I can’t tell…but I must confess that Ms Mady crafted one hell of an ending that is a total tease, made me smile even though I didn’t get quite all the answers that I wanted. But I wasn’t irritated by the ending either. I think that in this case it was the ONLY way that the author could write an ending that….well….it was just what the story needed.

Review: You know…I love a good western historical. There is just something about them that sparks something deep in my soul. This story with its simple plot was really good. Though there were times when it felt a bit more like a regency set story than one taking place in the late 1800’s in Montana, I still enjoyed it.

The characters popped, the descriptions were vivid and the love was sparkling. A well done story no doubt and one that makes me want to see what else this author has to offer :)

Review: While I felt that Clarissa gave in rather easily to Pierce, I still really liked this story. I choked with emotion near the start. Ms Scott really did a good job conveying the sentiment and feelings that a dark time could and would bring on.

The sex was hot and there was just enough of it to be good but not too much that I felt like that was all I was reading. A good read that I am sure I will revisit more than once :)

I figured buy the blurb that this shorty would start just before the “action” but there is some anticipation. While expected the sexual tension to start a little sooner it was still pretty good once the fire got going.

Review: This was a very enjoyable story. With the exception of a few terms that don’t really fit in with the country feel of the story or the characters, I have to say that it was very well written and sexy as hell.

The characters had a variety of layers that all worked together to create a vivid reality. The descriptions used for the surroundings were easy to imagine and the sex….rocked!!!! I was a little taken aback at the lack of protection and the fact that there was no discussion about it.

Well done, Ms Bowles.

Review: Not sure that I find the reference to smelly panties sexy, but different strokes and all, right? Not quite sure I buy the, “we-don’t-really-know-each-other-but-I-think-I-am-falling-in-love-with-you, no-wait-I-do-love-you” especially when nothing in the story hints that these two have more than a passing knowledge of each other because they work for the same school district. That and the fact that the hero continues to think he is strange because of his sexual desires and the heroine is always having to assure him it's okay to want to dominate.

I had a hard time relating to the characters and the speed in which the fell into a D/s relationship. While the authors’ ability to craft a vivid tale was wonderful, this story just didn’t work all that much for me. Granted the sexual scenes were hot but I got a little burned out on the exclamation points and him counting to 3 so she could come.

All in all, this just wasn’t a book for me.

Review: Sadly this book failed to deliver for me. It had an exciting opening but quickly fell apart. Victor is perfectly dark and yet wickedly alluring and Dylan is brushed upon as a character, but I failed to connect to either of them. At times, I was confused and the confusion mounted. The author wasn’t able to bring me back in.

There was some incredible hot erotic sex, but by the end, I was not satisfied with the story. There are many unanswered questions and although Victor is a dark, menacing character, his deception of Dylan and his friend did not give him a redeeming quality. For those who like edgy, dark vampire stories with blood with their bite, this will have some appeal. For those looking for a connection to the characters, this one needed more pages to be realized.

Review: Rock on with you bad self!!!! Anyone who knows me knows that I am a HUGE friends to lovers fan. There is just something about these types of stories that just strikes me fast and hard. Whether they are the “I’ve always wanted you” type or the “I’m seeing you in a new light” it all works for me.

Pay Up kicked ass when it comes to story content. Super hot fireman and his next door neighbor who just happens to have a major thing for him. Oh, and he has a thing for her too. *SIGH* awesome emotion. More than once my tummy dropped and I could “feel” everything that was written on the page before me. I love it when a story is that well written that I experience what the characters do. Makes the story that much more real to me.

Review: Alright, let me start off by saying that I liked the idea that she has insecurities about her facial scar and that he doesn’t seem to notice the blemish. Makes him a really wonderful hero. I felt that the lack of prophylactic use was irresponsible especially when she just met him.

After the “truth” is revealed I lost interest a bit. It was very over the top and I thought that the emotions seemed forced. She went from being shocked and a bit angry to climbing into bed with them with what seemed like very little thought. And the brother…he seemed like a real prick. He was actually proud of the fact that he slept with her and she thought it was his brother.

While the sex was hot, the story just really didn’t do it for me. I enjoyed it for what it was. A quick holiday ménage that really laid on the “Christmas Magic”.

Review: If you like your erotica grity, dirty, a bit trashy and crass then this is a perfect story for you. The descriptions were VERY vivid which can be wonderful, when you are looking for a dirty romp. Some of the descriptions were a bit over the top for me…and that can be hard to do as I am a dirty girl and LOVE a dirty story.

I didn’t feel that the cover accurately described what I would be reading in the story, and while the blurb did…the warning I felt was a bit on the tame side. That being said…it was still a well done dirty tale :)

Review: Very interesting. Hot sex, Selena Kitt style? Of course. I would expect nothing less. I have to say that I was super interested in the “Stuff” that these two discovered within the ice core. It seemed to overshadow the sexuality of the story for me however. I was so caught up in the wonderings of what the mystery substance was that when the sex came my mind was still on the stuff.

BUT it didn’t take long for the sex to really grab me :) and grab it did. Hot enough to melt ice.

Too many times, as an avid reader, I see the same words used to descried sex. Thrusting, pushing, bucking, sliding…you get the idea, and while this one did contain many of those the use of seldom used descriptive words made it pretty nifty IMHO.

Now, for the story…I really liked it. Short and to the point. A good plot with nice follow through. Well Done!!!

Ms Crowe does a fantastic job not only in the crafting and telling of her stories but the little details that she brings in about the skill and craft of brewing beer really gives these stories a spark of their own. Along with some really interesting characters, these stories hold attention and demand to be noticed. And let me tell you that I noticed :)

Review: This was a very nice holiday story. While my brow quirked at her virginity at her age, the author was able to make it believable. Everything that I needed to buy this story was there along with a healthy dose of HOT and SEXY!!!!

All in all this was a hot collection. For the most part they were all done very well but you should read the warning before picking this one up if you are even a bit wary about the level of naughtiness that you read in your erotica. Some of these stories cross a line for many folks, while others are just light it up, burn them down, super smokin’ sexy hot.

Review: This was a light, sweet, easy to read holiday story with just enough magyk it make the paranormal pop. The “I love you’s” came a bit fast for me. Even though they both question their intense love that seems to have sprouted so fast, I wasn’t rolling my eyes and groaning. :)

All in all it was a cute fast read that made me smile. Ah young love …ok, love at any age is great, but it is especially sweet during the holidays…even when the dad’s evil girlfriend is trying to drain his powers :)

Everything worked out and all is right in the world again. Just the way I like it.

It is personal preference. Which is what reading and reviews are all about. I loved the idea for the story. It was GREAT!!!! And had it not been erotic this one would have scored much higher…or had the story not had such a strong child presence. I love stories with kids…I am just not sure that they really belong in erotic stories. But again that is just me.

So, aside from that, I think that the imagination and creativity of the story was phenomenal and I can totally see this author as one of my “gotta read” authors. This author really pulled out the stops and crafted a really fun, cute and heartwarming Christmas love story.
