Blurb: Miranda had been through it all in her young life: homelessness, the victim of a crime that made national headlines and losing those closest to her. Now, she barely gets by in a rat-hole apartment in uptown Chicago, drowning her sorrows in alcohol she’s too young to buy, and making ends meet by turning tricks.

And, just when she thinks it can get no worse, it does. With the lure of easy cash before her, she blows off her shift at McDonald’s and heads home with an older guy she met in a bar. But when she gets there, she finds the guy has a party all set to go, when what Miranda had in mind was one-on-one. After a brutal assault and rape, Miranda winds up in the hospital, clinging to life.

In the half world between life and death, she finds Jimmy Fels, her dearest love, the boy who had died years before to save her. His appearance is enigmatic, but comforting and Miranda is just beginning to discover that he has returned to avenge her.

The men will pay. And Miranda finds, through her connection with a long-lost love, that vengeance is truly sweet.

Warnings: This title contains graphic language, violence, and rape.

Review: Is it violent? Yes. Is it emotional? Yes. Will you turn the last page and wonder how Rick Reed pens such disturbing stories? Yes. And then, like me, you can’t wait for him to write another one.

This is a short story and every page takes you faster down Miranda’s unpleasant journey. Her life spiraled out of control before she ever had a chance at normal. She broke my heart. This is her story and it is a tragic one. From the opening paragraphs, my belly began churn. The descriptions of her alcohol addiction were so vivid, I was able to put myself in her shoes and it’s more than uncomfortable. It is gut-wrenching. I can’t even put into words the scene with the men. Thankfully I don’t have to because Rick has done a disturbingly good job of taking his reader into dark, vile places.

For lovers of horror, this is an intense read. The paranormal elements are believable and the story is gripping.

Blurb: Jay is a player–a typical college student with one thing on his mind–and that doesn’t change when he meets Betsy. He wants nothing more than to take her five ways from Sunday, and Betsy doesn’t seem to object. Still, the more time he spends with her, the more she seems to affect him… When she gives him a homemade advent calendar for Christmas, Jay discovers the real meaning of the phrase, “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.” Note: This story originally appeared in the anthology Shivers.

Warnings: This title contains graphic language, sex, and elements of erotic horror.

Review: Yet again, here is a perfect example of Ms Kitt and her dirty, twisted, wonderful mind :) I just can't get enough of this author. The naughty way she makes even dirty stuff hot just blows me away and this story was no exception.

Totally not what I expected this story to be like but in a very dark, hot good way :)

**SNAPS** Ms Kitt on another good one :)

Review: Oh Ms Kitt, you dirty girl you :) You are turning me into a rabid fan of your naughty erotic horror stories. There is just something about them that it decidedly wicked and bad but oh so good :)

Another winner from this author and it doesn’t surprise me at all. Very nice :)

Sheriff Will Walker’s instincts tell him that something is wrong, but he can’t quite put his finger on what.

Review: In true Selena fashion this tale is a bit on the twisted side :) Yeah, so what does that make me for having liked it? :)

Very interesting. I am not sure what disturbed me more. The sick twisted Belcher and his twisted mind? Or the fact that I got a bit turned on at one point. All that aside I have to say that the story was imaginative, inventive and well written. :)

Blurb: An old-fashioned laundry chute in a big, rambling farm house proves deadly for a group of young, adventurous boys…

Review: Totally twisted!! More than once my heart stopped at the horror elements in this story. My stomach dropped and I literally cringed. But it was good.

The only major downfall was the spelling errors that were present throughout the story. Names, phrases, multiple errors but I have to say that even with these errors the story still did exactly what it was supposed to.

In true Selena style I have to say that Ms Kitt did not disappoint with this tale.

Blurb: Yuppie bounder Ash likes fast cars, shallow friendships, and really brief encounters with beautiful women. He meets his match, though, in sexy cyber-witch Elena. Unlike other women he’s bedded, Elena holds all the power. She’s demanding, selfish, and so, so good in bed. Of course she dumps him the minute he declares his love. It’s only karmic justice, after all, and this tale is all about karmic justice.

It turns out that heartbreak is good for the soul, and Ash learns his lesson, developing depth, a personality, and maybe even some integrity. The new, improved Ash meets and falls for good-girl Virginia, and discovers good girls can be good in bed, too.

But, of course, Elena returns, using dark magicks and sexual trickery to pursue the man she never wanted in the first place… until somebody else did. Will she win Ash back or will Virginia triumph in the bedroom battle of good girl vs. dark power?

Or will anyone emerge unscathed?

Warnings: This title contains graphic sex, and sexual trickery which might be considered mild non-con.

Review: Witty, laugh-out-loud creepy :) A real winner.

Storm penned a tale that was not only clever in the way it was written but able to keep my attention from start to finish without my mind wandering. Captivating, creepy, interesting, imaginative… and so much more. This one really got me in the mood for things that go bump in the night.

Blurb: Paul calls the shots. His friends know it. His son knows it. And his women know it--all of them, except Lena. With the return of the delicate Russian waif he'd used up and cast off years before, Paul's control and his sanity begin slipping away. Even when friends start to disappear and die, Paul can't possibly imagine the dark power the wraith Lena wields, or the horrifying revenge she has in store for him.

Warnings: This title contains scenes of rape, oral sex, M/M sex, and anal sex.

Review: NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART!!! While this short story will really make you think it is violent, graphic and filled to the brim with scenes that will make you cringe from their reality.

I found myself welling up with the knowledge that things like this occur every day. I was repulsed, shocked, saddened, horrified, disturbed.

Brilliantly written for such a dark story. Though not one I would normally read for fun, I think that stories like this do have a place in the world. Not only as horror but to bring light to subjects that most people may not know much about, especially the horrors that surround them.

Ms Krylov, my hats off to you for penning such a tale that while it may not fit for a lot of folks, I applaud you in your ability to pen a story about such a “real” horror.

Blurb: Deep in West Virginia’s mining country lies the forgotten town of Wolf Haven, a place full of deep tunnels and dark secrets. Mechanic Buck Howland decides to have one more go at Miss Christine, the pretty school teacher, and ask her to marry him. A driving mishap on her class outing provides the perfect opportunity for a little spontaneous romance. But Buck didn’t count on art teacher Randall Flambeau coming along for the ride, or Miss Christine’s surprise answer to his question. Be careful what you wish for. You just might get it. Fresh Meat is an erotic horror tale with more twists and turns than an abandoned coal mine. Put on your protective gear and stay alert; it’s going to be a rough ride.

Warnings: This title contains graphic language & violence, explicit sex, mfm, murder.

Review: HOLY CRAP!! I would have never thought I could get turned on by a horror story but wow.

Maybe I am a little twisted that I liked this erotic tale…I mean hell, she cut off….yeah you know I can’t spoil it for you…Let me just say that Christine ain’t what you think ;) Hell, no one in the story is what you first believe but that’s what made it pretty cool. A really creepy, short horror that, while I’m not exactly sure what she was, really set the mood for the spooky holiday.
