Blurb: Time reveals all secrets.

Single mum Devon fled Auckland as a pregnant teenager and made a life for herself and her daughter, Trix, in Australia. With her musical career blossoming their future is set. But a car accident while visiting Auckland puts Devon in intensive care and she awakens to learn she has sent Trix to her father. Ignorant of Trix's existence, widowed Rick is bewildered and angry at losing twelve years of his daughter’s life. He will not be denied another day with Trix.

Trix loves being part of an extended family. To her mother’s consternation she tricks Devon into accepting an invitation to stay at Rick’s house after release from hospital but will her plan work? Could her scheming bring her parents together?
Review: The heroine, Devon Smith. a friend of Rick's sister "disappeared somewhere into the ether about ten years ago." She is introduced in a hospital in New Zealand, in a coma and awakens from a coma about half way through the story. There are a multitude of multi-generational characters in this story that deals with love and relationships between parents, siblings, friends, ( both female/female and male/female) old romances, parents/children, parents/grown children and almost every other combination you might think of.There is jealousy and and there are disagreements and misunderstandings. This is a cross-section of family life and its problems and rewards. The half-siblings are trying to get parents together again. An older parent is dealing with the ill health and possible death of a spouse.

The story was well written, with many 'Down Under' phrases that made me really enjoy the telling of this story. Phrases like"All Black" when referring to the aborigine population, "groggle box" is a TV, "Not on your Nellie" as an equivalent to the American phrase "not on your life, "mum" for Mom and many more.

There were only a few typos that caught my attention; for instance, "Rick hastily shook HER head." But not enough to detract from the telling of the story.

I look forward to re-reading this charming story, and to reading more of this writer's works.

When a captivating scent leads him to a Halloween party, he finds Gwenny. The witch is everything he never even knew to dream of. The only problem is, he's due back in Hell in the morning with somebody’s soul…and it looks like it may be hers.

Unable to resist Alessandro's wicked allure, Gwenny doesn’t realize the danger she's in until their night of passion comes to an end. If Lucifer's demands are refused, will they both survive, or will Gwenny lose her heart and soul to her cinnamon-loving demon?

Review: Cute, interesting....demon sex? I'll take some of that :) A nifty little tale that ends with a bang. Maybe not one that will be cemented in my mind forever but it was sure as hell worth the read and left me with a good feeling when it was over.

I enjoyed the "put myself in harms way for you" between a demon who is visiting earth for the first time and a witch who just can't get enough of the cinnamon loving demon. A heart tugging relationship that gives a hint for more :)

Blurb: In the sequel to Tree Fingers, scholar-magician Alan has planned a romantic trip to a Japanese hot spring to celebrate one year with his partner, Graham. They arrive in the rural village of Inaba in time to witness the Bon-Matsuri: the lantern festival to welcome back the spirits of the ancestors

Graham quickly realizes something isn't right in the little town, and that Alan may have had ulterior motives for visiting the area. Frustrated that Alan's curiosity about the supernatural has put them in danger again, Graham must decide whether to return to safety or stay face the creatures threatening the village.

Review: I’m going to start with the issues I had with the story because I want to finish my review the way I finished the story, with a bang. The story is slow to start. I felt like I was reading a book that had no direction. And by the time the story picked up, I wouldn’t have missed anything if I had skipped the first third of the book. The love story in the beginning was sex just thrown in for sex, I wasn’t connected to this story at all. However, these authors do have a brilliant way with words. They create beautiful imagery. I wanted to enjoy what I was reading because it was well written, but sadly I didn’t….until more than half way through the book. If the beginning was half as entertaining and exciting as the end, this story would have rocked all the way around. Because of how good the scenes at the end were played out, I’m ready to try another story from Eon de Beaumont and Augusta Li. There is plenty of room at the end of this story for more from Graham and Alan. Although this is a sequel to Tree Fingers, Onikoroshi can be read and enjoyed without reading the first in the series. And enjoy it, you will, once you get through the slow beginning.

As the costume designer, Sherrie Alveston is in trouble when the trousers she made for Ty Webster, the superstar of the ballroom scene, split in a very unfortunate place. How is a woman supposed to concentrate when his delicious body and hungry eyes make her fumble with the needle? While she tackles with the delicate repair, Ty’s casual flirting leads to something far more intense.

But a sudden love connection always has its barriers, and Ty's dance partner, Diana, is determined to stand in their way. Coping with a damaged leg after a devastating motorbike crash, Sherrie doesn’t think she can compete with the beautiful ice queen…until Ty is forced to take drastic measures and proves to her just how needed she really is.

Review: I really dig a story where the main characters aren't perfect :) Makes it more believable :) Well, as believable as fiction can be anyway, but you know what I mean.

I found the characters to be refreshing and inspiring. The story, well written and motivating. The conflict believable without a doubt. Everything about this one just clicked together and really worked making it a very enjoyable read :)

Blurb: Nadja Mederios knows what she wants after months of watching Donato keep order at Club Mist, and an intervention from her best friend Taleena. As a lounge singer, she portrays a sensual, sultry woman; underneath she’s not the high maintenance girl people assume she is. A tomboy lies under her protective costume. When the real woman comes to light she hopes Donato finds her just as sexy.

Donato Falcone isn’t looking for commitment, but when someone touches Nadja without permission, rational thought leaves him and rage steps in. After his temper cools, he sees a different side of Nadja. Her sleek sophistication may well be a front for the girl who could be his forever, if he can break down her barriers.

Review: Flaws and All was a fun story. The dialog was fresh and the characters likeable. I liked Nadja and her insecurities made her real and her fear of relationships made for a great conflict. Donato was hot. He’s strong and protective. The story is a bit slow in the beginning and the middle is a bit weighted with filler, but once the action begins, its fast and entertaining. Donato is true hero material. My only complaint was in keeping the names of the characters straight because they all sounded too much alike. Flaws and All is a great short story and Ms. Levey has a nice style and voice to her writing.

A visceral story of love (or something like it) among the undead.

Review: Fantastic storytelling. Paranormal romance at it’s best. And oh yeah, some hot sex between…er…not exactly men. Well, one angst driven young man, hell bent on revenge even at the risk of his own…neck. Niall is scrumptious as far as ghouls go. His roll with it attitude adds just the right flavor to this short story. I loved it. There’s humor, action, and bad things lurking in the shadows. An all together arousing romp with a lot of darker disturbing paranormal to balance it out.

Addie, Galen and Teagan find in each other’s arms an affinity for each other that has never evaporated but grown stronger during the length of their long lived friendship.

Review: The opening of Soulbound was a bit slow but offered needed backstory to give this hot ménage a foundation. Once Addie arrives on scene with Galen and Teagan, the story erupts with hot erotic action. What I liked best was that Addie wasn’t left out. Teagan and Galen are involved, but she is the missing element in the story. She’s not the center of this relationship, but she is an equal part. Ms. Levey pulled this off with erotic style and flare. Not easy to do since Teagan and Galen were so intensely sexy on their own.

Blurb: Maggie doesn’t usually do this sort of thing, the one night stand encounters. However, when she meets Hunter she can’t resist his charm, his sexy demeanor, or his relentless approach. She throws caution to the wind and decides to indulge in a heady one night stand.

Hunter can’t resist Maggie. She mentally seduces him from the moment they first meet. He wants to know her, intimately, all he has to do is get her to spend one night with him. He determines from the start to convince her to give in, but it might be an easier feat than he thinks.

Review: The story was good. I loved the set up, the flirtation and the slow slide into an erotic encounter. The sexual tension is thick and I believed the play. Without giving spoilers to the story, the ending wasn’t predictable, but for me, it was disappointing. A bit of an overused conclusion. That aside, I still had all those good fluttering feelings from the chemistry between Maggie and Hunter. My lower presentation score is because this book is marketed as BDSM. In my opinion it isn’t. There is some reference to a future encounter he will tie her up, but none of that happens in this story. He’s an alpha hero in his pursuit, but that’s just good hero quality. In fact, I found the love scenes to be sensually erotic and not overly graphic. Just a good contemporary erotic short story.

Determined to find out why his sexy next-door neighbor helped him out, he puts himself in danger of losing something he’d never considered. His heart.

Review: Hot, sexy and just enough!  I have always liked stories where the hero and heroine are from different ends of the social ladder. It makes for a good romance when they move past status to let their passion take hold.

This one is no exception and was written very well. It kept me interested and the sex was smokin' hot :)  VERY NICE!!!!! I can't wait to read more from this author.

***WARNING: May Contain Spoilers***

Review: Let me start by saying that the plot and story line for this story was well thought out and complete. The emotion was real and the characters had depth. Please be aware when looking at this story that it contains some subject matter that some may find....touchy.

The subject of child prostitution has exploded in the media and while this horrific problem has been around for years it has not garnered nearly the attention it has now. The heroine in this tale was a victim. Plain and simple. She was sold by her bio mom before she was 10 and the woman who bought her used her as a prostitute. While I realize that this story touches on a subject that is VERY real, I didn't "feel" much of the romance in the story because I was more wrapped up in her past and pain.

My stomach rolled and I cried more than once. As a fictional story that touches on a dark and scary subject I think it was top notch....but as a romance....not so much for me.

Both women find luck upon meeting, Brandon, a striking chocolate skinned man, who has every meaning to entertain them. However, as the evening heats up, Natalie finds herself backtracking to a local bar to retrieve her lost cell phone. The phone is not all she finds.

A smoldering male walks back into her life, primed to make his intentions clear. The tale’s sensual buildup explodes as passion blazes between these two strangers, bringing Natalie to the realization that life can be a sexual paradise if you make it so.

Warnings: This title does contain strong, detailed sexual language and content.

Review: A nice short story that started a bit slow but delivered in the end. All in all it was a good hot read for a quick fix. I liked the characters and the feel of the story. I wish that the pacing in the begining had been a little faster but that's just me :) You can rest assured that I will be keeping my eyes open for more from this author in the future :)

Owen isn’t overly fond of Halloween. Something bad always happens and this year would be no exception. But Owen isn’t prepared for the return of his high school sweet heart, or the voice in the back of his mind telling him Courtney is the woman of his dreams. Especially when that voice sounds hauntingly like Courtney’s late grandmother.

Review: I love, love, loved it :) Cute, spicy and laugh out loud funny in so many spots.

A totally great little love story with just enough spooky and ghosty to make it cool. Full of emotion that was so tangible it almost jumped off the page. There really isn’t anything that I didn’t like about this one. These two are meant for each other but he just hasn’t accepted it yet. But Ryck’s defiance sparks the demon’s fury, causing supernatural portals to crumble and allowing demonic minions to threaten Katy and her world.

Now Katy and Ryck must battle the forces of darkness together. But will Ryck will be trapped forever in her Sleepy Hollow Dreams?

Review: I liked the spin on several of the classic fairytale characters and their part in the story. The plot was interesting but at times I felt confused. There were a couple of sections where the heroines actions just didn’t seem to mesh with her internal thoughts and I had to read those parts several times but am still not sure I “got it” the way the author intended.

If I overlook those parts and focus on the rest then I would have to say that I enjoyed it. All in all there was about 50-50 that I got opposed to what I didn’t. Perhaps I just wasn’t in the right frame of mind to fully embrace all the aspects. I think this is one that I will be reading again if only to try on a different day to see if it clicks for me.

As for the characters, the sex and the descriptions, there were vivid and rich with detail. One aspect of the story that I really liked no matter what :)

But when she wakes up one morning—unsatisfied—from an erotic dream starring her favorite movie star, Mandy starts to crave sexual adventure in real life. Too bad Martin won't oblige, because it's not Tuesday or Friday. Then Mandy finds out what Martin's been doing the other days of the week—or rather, who. And suddenly she needs to prove to herself that she's not boring in bed.

Fortunately, there is no shortage of smoking-hot men willing to help her on her sensual quest: a nameless library patron who could be Brad Pitt's twin, a coworker she suddenly sees in a different light, and the neighbor who usually rubs her the wrong way wants to show her he can rub her the oh-so-right way, too! Lucky for Mandy, her lovers are more than willing to share...

Review: WOW!!! Now I have never thought of myself as a prude. Quite the opposite in fact, but this story put a blush on MY cheeks :)

Filled to the brim with sex, sexual situations and sexual tension there was no shortage of HOT! A sexy library patron, the friend, a bump and grind/tease with a couple guys on a bus, the neighbor, YOWZA!!

Now there were times when I thought that the slutiness was a bit brash and a tad trashy…it worked. The heroine, like the title indicates, is WAY overdue for some pleasure! And boy does she get it in spades :) This was a well written erotica that wasn’t just sex, there was some story in there and that just added and pulled it all together :)

Review:  At 389 pages this is no small task or afternoon read. The blurb grabbed me and made me crave this story. After cracking the cover I began to read. And read....and read. Though the story, for me, started off slow, after about page 60 it really started picking up speed. And let me tell you that once the story got moving....it really got moving :)

I felt, tasted and smelled. My heart wrenched, my gut turned and my mind reeled. And I loved every second of it. I got so involved in the story at one point I told hubby to go away and leave me alone so I could read :) There is no doubt that I would read this story again and had it not been for the slightly slow paced begining, I would have read the book straight through in one sitting :)

Wonderful story that just jumped off the pages with characters so likeable....even when they weren't...that I was almost sad to see it end.

Review: An erotic delight for the senses. This page turner was chock full of emotion, drama, question and resolutions. Demands and negotiations. A rocking ride that explores the “what would you do?” question when you aren’t totally sure.

While there were times when the hero was a tad over the top in his demanding nature, if he hadn’t been the story wouldn’t have worked quite as well. Gotta love that alpha dominant stud :)

While I didn’t feel that the cover accurately represented this book it was pretty hot none the less. Sexy cover, sexy book. Good Read :)

Bar owner Kevin Kowalski is used to women throwing their phone numbers at him, but lately he's more interested in finding a woman to settle down with. A woman like Beth Hansen. If only their first meeting hadn't gone so badly...

Beth's tending bar at a wedding when she comes face-to-face with a tuxedo-clad man she never thought she'd see again. She tries to keep her distance from Kevin but, by last call, she can't say no to his too-blue eyes or the invitation back to his room. Then she slips out before breakfast without leaving a note and, despite their precautions, pregnant.

Kevin quickly warms to the idea of being a dad and to seeing where things go with Beth. After all, he's not the player she thinks he is. But she's not ready for a relationship and, given his reputation, it's going to take a lot to convince her to go on a second date with the father of her child...

Review: Really cute. Not your typical “one night stand+pregnancy=HEA” but it is all the better for being a bit different.

I really dug the conflict between these two characters. The secondary story had good characters with issues all their own that maybe didn’t add much to the main plot but was still good. All in all it all worked well and was wrapped up in a very nice package that left me with a smile in the end :) While there were times when I thought the heroine was a bit over the top with her desire to take care of herself and depend on no one, the explanation that revealed why she has such a strong drive to be an indepindant free spirit worked and left no holes :)

Clever and witty, it was a really cute read. Oh, and the burgers described in the story? Where can I get one or two of those ;)

But when she learns that he’s not exactly who he led her to believe he was, will she kick him to the curb…or take a chance on love?

Review: I’ve never stayed on a guest ranch, but The Cowboy’s Property makes me want to. Ms. Daniel’s vividly describes her setting, from the landscape and horses, to the engaging characters she penned to paper. The story was entertaining from the opening pages, but once we met Jack, I was hooked. Snappy dialog and tongue in cheek situations had me smiling. The set up of the ranch being for sale made for interesting twists and turns in the story. You know there is going to be trouble and misunderstanding in Kayla and Jack’s future and getting there was filled with hot sex. Kayla is invested in the ranch, she loves it. Jack is quickly becoming invested in Kayla. This is a contemporary western romance set in the outdoors and had a realistic feel to the setting and a great cast of characters.

Axel demands that his novice abandon every inhibition. But in doing so, they both embark on a dangerous journey, tempting each other’s flesh, relishing every forbidden touch—and breaking every rule.

Review: Ms. Glass is one of my favorite historical writers in erotic romance. The flavor makes me ache to tumble back in time. And while reading her stories, I do. The brilliance in this story is the depth in which we understand Anne. She’s complicated and yet simple. She is doing what she must…and finding herself in the process. As much as she struggles with her training, she also finds comfort in Axel. Her initial reservations soon turn passionate and the sexual risk explodes on the page. There was so much tension in this book from the sex to the risk of having their true feelings discovered and the risk of acting on them had me breathless and a turned on mess. I savored every word on the page. However, I was disappointed in the ending. Without giving too much of a spoiler, I expected there to be some consequence to the love between Axel and Anne. Instead, it the risk was only within themselves and the ending then proved to be anticlimactic. However, for 95% of the book I was spellbound and tempted. This is a journey of discovery and one any lover of historical BDSM will enjoy.

Review: From the first words, the scene was set. I immediately had a clear picture in my mind of the setting, the characters and I was pulled into the sexual tension. The premise was flirty yet edgy. There is an aspect that might make a reader pause, however I wasn’t bothered because the relationship status of Damon was handled delicately. Because Ms. Nyx was going for the “corporate” feel, the business-y way of dialog, for me, lost some of the passion. At times the flow stalled because they were business like about their encounter and I wanted there to be hunger between them that didn’t need negotiated. That said, I did enjoy this quick read.

Blurb: Months of running into her sexy new neighbor have taken a toll on Alexis’ libido. There’s interest in his smoky gaze every time they meet, but he seems reluctant to ask her out. They never share more than a slight nod and a polite hello. She’s about to take matters into her own hands when she finds herself thrown into a situation that could end her life.

With nothing but erotic fantasies of Alexis to warm his bed at night, Reid knows he has to stay away from her until his undercover assignment is over. But when a cold-blooded initiation to prove he’s trustworthy forces him to involve her, nothing can keep him from claiming her.

Reader Advisory: This book contains a brief scene involving forced seduction.

Review: HOT HOT HOT!!! With a bit of questionable content at the beginning.

Ok so I make no secret that I am a fan of Ms Richards. Have been since It’s All In The Jeans and I don’t think I will be stopping anytime soon :) While this quickie begins with a scene that could have turned bad and ugly very quickly, it could have killed the hero and the entire story for me…Ms Richards was able to make it rockin’ good and kept the pace through this tale. WOO HOO!!!! Love it :)

Blurb: Despite his scrappy punk packaging, Evan’s got a submissive streak in him that’s just screaming to be indulged. So on the eve of his thirtieth birthday, Evan’s wife Margie arranges for them to ring out his twenties by realizing his darkest fantasy—inviting another man into their bedroom.

Margie’s found the perfect candidate for Evan’s birthday treat. Paul works as a bouncer at their favorite bar, and lucky for Evan and Margie, he’s every bit the sexual Dominant his intimidating body suggests. Evan isn’t a hundred percent sure he’s ready to go to all the places his kinks seem determined to take him, but one thing’s for sure—by the time he wakes on his thirtieth birthday, his fantasy will have become reality.

Review: Cara McKenna had penned a deliciously naughty story. The characters had layers had personality and a sense of humor. Evan and Margie are a fantastic couple. They’re edgy, adventurous, and in love. They know they are on the cusp of having to “grow up” and to celebrate Evan’s birthday, he’s going to be a dirty thirty. I smiled throughout the story. I was a turned on mess and Paul was simply scrumptious. I think they should keep him as Evan’s birthday present. Lol He’s everything they wanted and more. The sex in this story was fantastic. Both between Evan and Margie and Evan and Paul. Just remembering as I write this review has me tingling again. If you want a story with interesting characters, fun witty dialog, and curl your toes sex, then this is a must read.

innocently his small daughter, Debby, stumbles upon his secret and is shocked by what she finds. She
confronts her father with the awful truth, and together they embark upon a journey which takes her father
from the darkness of shame into the light of victory.

Drawing from true events in her own childhood, author Diane Craver captivates the reader from page
one to a stunning climax which will touch your heart and impact your life forever in this must-read story of
love's triumph over adversity.
Review: When I first opened this story I felt like I was reading an auto biography. A woman tells a story of a Christmas years ago that she remembers fondly. Let me start by saying that while I am not usually a fan of first person, and that at times this story seemed weighed down by trivial conversation that really didn’t seem to move the story forward…..I really, really, really like it 

There was something so powerful and real about the story and the characters. The way a little girl looks at her daddy with hero worship in her eyes is a wonderful things. And oh how my heart broke right along with Debby’s on several occasions. I cried more than once during this story…in a good way though. It was that touching for me that I was moved to tears.

A wonderful story that will really touch your heart. I highly recommend it

But then it all falls apart. The radio station changes formats and fires all the DJs. Margo's boyfriend decides he wants kids and a house in the suburbs and kicks her to the curb. And to top it all off, her Mom is getting married—for the 11th time!—and expects Margo to be there as maid of honor.

With no job and no place to live, Margo has to bunk on the couch of her best friend, Chris, whose revolving bedroom door has played host to half the women in New York—at least, the ones who pass his "kiss test." Worse, he's insisting she attend her mother's wedding, and he's personally driving her cross-country to ensure she shows up.

Forget about surviving the road trip—can their friendship survive The Kiss Test?

Review: Any of you that follow SR have probably seen me post before that I am a HUGE friends to lovers fan. There is just something about that type of plot that really jives with me :)

I swear there were parts in this story that had me laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes and had to keep my legs crossed to keep from wetting myself :) It's full of ups and downs. Dilemmas and eye opening experiences. All of which were well written and delivered in a manner that pulled the story together and rocked.

Each chapter is named for an Elvis song and I really got a kick out of that. It was like a little tease as to what the chapter was going to be about. All in all it was a great story that let me follow a journey of two friends and discover that sometimes all you have to do is open up and let love in.

The combination between humor and the teasing between Margo and Chris was tangible throughout. Just a really great read :)

Blurb: Jordan Stamford is allergic to babies. At the height of the Vietnam war, this jet-setting playboy, whose motto is ‘money can buy anything,’ arrives in Sarah Watson’s seaside home to redevelop a disused factory complex.

Sarah is the only child of an elderly minister of religion and adores her bay side home. She yearns for a loving husband and babies.

Will Jordan’s shameful family history, and Sarah’s desperate longing for a child, be an insurmountable barrier for them to overcome?

WARNING****This review contains spoilers****

Review: The opening pages were attention grabbing. A crying/screaming baby and Jordan Stamford, who has a phobia about screaming babies, can't get away. He feared having children because “with his family history, he was genetically predisposed to reject his offspring."

Sarah Watson meets him at a church bazaar where he overhears her talking about him. His response was, "Don't let me interrupt your character assassination."

After the initial opening, I had to struggle to fight my way through this story.

Jordan is a very wealthy business man who has plans to raze her neighborhood and an inlet and construct a ritzy high rise complex for rich people. He is an extreme male chauvinist who is interested in women for one thing only - sex. In their first romantic encounter, he asks her to spend the night and he will "buy her anything she likes." Later, his response when Sarah tells him he put a mark on her shoulder, his response was "I always put a brand on my women". He had a horrible childhood, but eventually took over his father's company and made millions.

Sarah is a sweet, innocent virgin who lives with her old-fashioned father who is the priest for the local church. (Obviously not a Catholic church)

As their romance continues, she is in love and has romantic hopes, while he is interested only in bedding the naive country woman.

The plot goes from Sarah being sweet and innocent to giving Jordan excellent "blow jobs'.

The story becomes sickeningly overly syrupy sweet. He is a "fiercely masculine man: and "she melts into his arms. When she tells him she is pregnant, he doesn't even give her a chance to explain that antibiotics had interfered with the birth control pills she had been taking. Jordan called Sarah a "lying, conniving bitch" and tells her "I'm going down to the gym for a while - don't be here when I get back".

It is only after she has the baby and Jordan finds out he has fathered a son, is he interested in having anything to do with Sarah. At that point, he has a miraculous change of heart about babies. So he decides he wants to marry Sarah.

And they lived happily ever after.

Tom's never had a male lover but when he meets Cameron he can't get him out of his mind. Tom wants Cameron badly, but is it for more than just one night?

Review: I thought the story had a bit of a rocky start. Tom and his friend come off a little immature, but the story quickly turns a corner and swept me up into the ambiance. The club scene was vivid and the Cameron’s cage had me squirming on my seat. Totally sexy. Tom’s responses to Cameron are genuine and believable and while I thought Cameron was a bit reckless in his behaviors, they fit. Both Tom and Cameron have baggage to drop and issues to overcome. In the end, this is a love story. I’ve read many of Jack’s stories and this is one of my favorites. The writing was smooth, the characters sexy and engaging and the story was interesting. And yeah, it’s hot sex between men, too.

Review: Hot, funny and a good old fashioned knee slappin good time :) I am not sure when I have enjoyed a story quite as much as I did this one. I found all the characters totally captivating. The Tonk seemed to have a life of its own and so did all the people who walked through it's doors.

A colorful read that didn't want to let me go. The story had some major heart stoppping moments that just amped everything up a bit more and made it all the better. :)  Total winner for me :) Between the past, the present, a mom back home, a sexy contractor and two cute kids? Blurb: Defending her honor. . . and her life!

The untamed wilderness of 1887 Washington Territory is A Man’s World. Trace Burdette knows this better than anyone, so she masquerades as one and packs the guns to prove it. She forks her own broncs and prides herself on being the ‘toughest hombre’ this side of the Cascades. The last thing she wants is Zebadiah Prescott, her new ruggedly-handsome neighbor, ordering her around.

With more under his Stetson than hair, Zeb Prescott knows a man when he sees one, and isn't fooled by the little woman in masculine garb, even if she can almost outride and outshoot him. Determined to win Trace, he confronts the danger facing them. Before they can have a future together, he must deal with the past. . . and the dangerous outlaw out to kill the woman he loves.

WARNING****This review may contain spoilers****

Review: The book was fairly good reading.

The dedication was to Charley (Charlie) Parkhurst who dressed as a man for 40 years drove stagecoaches and her gender was never questioned. The female in this book also hid in male clothing for her safety and had done so since she was a very young child.

Trace is actually Therese Simone Burdette and first met Zebadiah Prescott when they were young. Even then Zeb thought she was a boy. She gave him the horse so he could escape and leave. When he returns and meets her again, he begins to wonder about himself-why is he attracted to another man even if he does have "shapely legs". Trace is now a gunslinger that has a bunch of orphans living on his ranch. They all call him Pa.

I found it hard to believe that a group of people who live and work with Trace don't know she is a woman, but it becomes apparent near the end of the book they knew and kept the secret.

The basic story is pretty good, but I found it difficult to keep up with who was related to which other character especially when some of the bad guys were related or maybe related to Trace. There is lots of action from shootouts to herding cattle to riding broncos in A Man's World.

I enjoyed the story for the most part, but I was left with some questions. Was there another story that took place earlier? Would this other possible story have helped me understand the relationships and involvements of all there characters?

The characters of Trace and Zeb were well developed. I felt I knew them and understood why they acted the way they did. Other characters added to the action and intrigue in the story.

Dialogue was unique, especially when a man was described as "reeking worse than a riled skunk". For those readers who have never smelled skunk spray, believe me when I say it is an experience best read about and not personally experienced.

George III's English Red-Coats, unprincipled colonial militia, prejudice and jealousy are not the only enemies Charity and Wicomechee will face before they can hope for a peaceful life. The greatest obstacle to happiness is in their own hearts.

As they struggle through bleak mountains and cold weather, facing wild nature and wilder men, Wicomechee and Charity must learn to trust each other.

WARNING*****This review may contain spoilers*****

Review: The setting starts in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia in 1764 when it was still part of the American Frontier. From there the action carried the characters into the mountains, which were later identified as the Alleghenies Mountains and on into the Ohio River Valley. Most of the story describes cold, sometimes violently stormy weather. I loved the descriptions of the "flora and fauna". Ms. Tressel describes the colors and the smells in a way that I felt I was there actually smelling and seeing with her characters. The descriptions were great; "Milkweed pods released fluffy white seeds, like tiny sails, in the barely there breeze”; "a potpourri of sensations, like contrasting scents"; "a tangle of grape vines".

Charity Edmondson is a twenty year old "old maid" who lives with her uncle and aunt and her cousin Emma. Aunt Mary is harping about Charity getting married to Rob Buchanan soon. Charity escapes and goes to gather nuts. While she is gone, Shawnee Indians attack the home. Emma is taken captive,, even though she is far along in her pregnancy. Aunt Mary escapes and the men are killed. Charity is also captured. Her captor is Wicomechee, who speaks English. Colin Dickenson is an Englishman, living with the Shawnee, who is a falsely accused fugitive from England. He and Emma had met at some time in the past and fallen in love, but her parents had her marry another man. Rob Buchanan is also taken captive.

Much of the story takes place while the Indians and their captives are going back to the Indian home. They face many hardships and conflicts along the way. Rob, Charity's suitor tries to convince her to escape with him. Chaka, one of the Shawnee warriors is infatuated with Charity and constantly tries to get her alone, to 'have his way' with her. The chief, Chaka's father tells her to choose one of the men as husband. Charity has an encounter with a bear, Mechee, as she calls him, rescues her.

There is conflict between the couple concerning their religions; her's Christian and his Shawnee beliefs.

During a militia attack, Emma's baby is coming and Charity won't leave her cousin. Mechee leaves but sends Waupee/Colin back to help the women. The militia captain is Rob's father. Paxton, one of the militia wants to take Colin captive for the reward being offered. He also tries to take Charity. The Shawnee attack and Charity is saved again.

The trip back to the Indian village is crammed full of action like the time when she is captured by some fur traders; and either romantic talk or quarreling between Charity and Mechee.

There are many mystical episodes intermingled with the events. Charity probably has psychic powers, because sometimes she dreams of happenings to come or hears her dead brother, Craig, calling her to follow him. Mechee's father predicts what will happen several times.

The ending is a real surprise, but I will let you have the pleasure of reading it for yourself.

Chaz is ready for the great reveal. He's carefully prepped himself for his private coming out party with new clothes, a handwritten invitation to a romantic dinner, and a solitary long-stemmed rose. Just one little problem—the object of his affection, the beautiful Karl, isn't home.

While the cat that looks like a rat gnaws on his rose, Chaz doesn't hear the rough and tumble Mike, the third member of the trio of apartment-mates, walk in the door. Mike's not the least bit shy . . . about anything, including letting it be known how upset he his Chaz is in love with Karl.

Chaz and the cat contemplate the demise of Mike who is on a quest to sacrifice the cannibalistic cat, until Karl comes home and announces he's getting married—to a woman.

Could it get any worse for Chaz? Probably.

Review: Laugh out loud situations, witty dialog, real relatable characters and some insanely protective cats! This story was phenomenal. I laughed so many times. I fell in love with Chaz and Mike. The story builds, the sexual content is mild but the sexual tension thickens to tingling levels and the twists and turns in the plot will keep you glued to your e-reader. And never once will the story become predictable. It was fantastic and I would love to read anything from KevaD. This is a definite must read.

Blurb: “Well, what we really need are small girls who are good at shouting and like hanging out with tall, muscular blokes.”

“Sign me up!”

And that was how I got into coxing.

Eight tall, muscular men, straining every sinew, and one itty-bitty young woman urging them on with all her might.

Joanna is the coxswain for a British university rowing crew, all of them fit and muscular and hot. Although she’s fantasized about each of the men, she has always been careful to keep her relations with them strictly platonic. But now she’s leaving for a new job—and they’re going to have a farewell party they will never forget, as all Jo’s wildest dreams come true on this final night together.

Review: I’m only going to touch on the low part briefly because there is so many amazing points to this story. The first big chunk of the story is terminology if you want to get into rowing. However, I found it interesting. But I received this as a review copy and didn’t pay for a dictionary.

Now for the story. There are eight men and one women. Rather than being confused by so many characters in a short story, I felt like I got to know them. As Joanna recounts her years as their cox, thinking back on how important these men had become to her, I grew to love them too. The writing is flawless. The friendship between all of them made my heart flutter and the sex was so freakin hot the words melted on the page. This book is so beyond my keeper shelf. All I can say is that this is a story that I wanted to read again the moment I finished it. It was bittersweet. The sex was raw, gritty and emotional. With eight sticks (yeah you know what I mean by sticks) in a room, it would have been easy to get lost in the choreography. Never once was I confused as to who was doing what. God, I felt as if I was in the room with them, I wanted to be in the room with them and when it was over, I ached with the loss. But the story wasn’t an epic love story between two people. It was love, devotion, friendship and only when the risks had been removed, were these characters able to act on the attractions that had always existed between them.

It was an amazing short story and one I will read again and again. Brilliant storytelling.

Blurb: Among the first to look at the story of Camelot through Guinevere’s eyes, Woolley sets the traditional tale in the time of its origin, after Britain has shattered into warring fiefdoms. Hampered by neither fantasy nor medieval romance, this young Guinevere is a feisty Celtic tomboy who sees no reason why she must learn to speak Latin, wear dresses, and go south to marry that king. But legends being what they are, the story of Arthur’s rise to power soon intrigues her, and when they finally meet, Guinevere and Arthur form a partnership that has lasted for 1500 years.

This is Arthurian epic at its best—filled with romance, adventure, authentic Dark Ages detail, and wonderfully human people.

Review: This was a very vivid story that threw me full force back into the time of knights and ladies. Totally captivating.

I really got pulled in to this tale, told in first person, and found myself unable to put it down. The detail really added extra umph to an already great story and helped me create brathtaking images to go along with the well written words.

There is no doubt that I will be keeping my eyes peeled for more from this author in the future. I enjoy being swept away in a good story and the sweeping was evident in this one :)

Review: What I loved most about this story was how deeply I was able to get to know the characters in just a few pages. The story builds gradually, investing your emotions so that when the sex finally happens, you feel every breathless tummy tug, every ache for these two people to get a chance at something they’d missed out on when they were younger. Review: Intriguing, captivating, sexy, and different. Through My Window was a glimpse into Star’s life. The encounters were well-written and each distinctive but it was the last encounter that resonated with me, the reader. The only story that really gave me tummy tugs as I read.

This isn’t a story as in a beginning, middle or an end for a couple of characters. It’s a night in the life of a prostitute. It’s brilliantly written with a style and flavor unique to Ms. Rylon. The words smoothly slipped off the page like sipping fine wine. For a topic that could be gritty and seedy, it wasn’t. Star’s perspective on her place in the world isn’t raucous, rather she sees the beauty she brings into her customers life. This is a short story worth picking up. A pleasure to read.

Review: This was a really good story. Filled to the brim with action, lust, want, passion and theft :) I really liked the way all the characters meshed together and the lengths they went to to try and discover who kidnapped her brother.
