Review: This is the second book by Ms. Kassana that I've read (skipping Book #2 in her Club Lexx series) and I'm utterly charmed by her and her characters. For being so short, she certainly builds up a lot of passion and heat between her characters. Former characters were there (the couples from the first two bokos) and several men (and a woman) I hope to see in later books (Tanya's trainer and Donovan, pretty please?!).

I didn't particularly care for the inclusion of just why Tanya chose/needed to do the fighting she did. It seemed barely touched on, a couple of references and the inevitable "why didn't you tell me, I could have given you the money" at the end. Maybe if she'd fleshed this out a bit, made it a serious problem for Tanya (in that it got more page time) it would have meshed better for me.
Still, I enjoyed this book and heartily recommend it to anyone looking for a quick, good read with lovely, and flawed, characters.

Review: I can't say enough good things about this book. There was a lot of sexual tension (with subsequent reduction in actual sex - which after all the books I've been reading with sex in every chapter was a very nice break). The suspense was great, especially in the last couple of chapters as the hero/heroine fought against the odds. I loved the Harvest restaurant as a setting, and the ongoing curiousity as to just who did it, why they did it, and who was really behind everything. Sexy hero, lovely heroine. Ahhh, just the right portion of everything for me.

One note: if you don't like cliffhanger endings, DON'T READ THIS BOOK! I happen to adore them (at least if I know the next book is either out or coming out soon), so that was a major plus. I'm going ot have to track down the rest of the Dry Creek series and read them. That's how much I loved this book.

Review: I would recommend this book, because after I read it the characters stayed with me. I actually thought about this book last night and re-read it because I enjoyed it the first time. I'm sad that is was a novella, but none the less the story was cool. I loved how she had Issac come in and our of Elizabeth, even though only her family called her that, he addressed her in that way. I love how the Author keep the mystery, yet wrote a compelling story.

Review: Welcome back to the Dry Creek Series. This time, the story focuses on Beth and Hank. It seems the whole town is after the two to start dating, seeing as they've known each other forever and it only seemed fitting.

It was great to get a chance to come back to this town. a Dry Creek Bed follows after Up a Dry Creek. The characters and setting that the author has created gives readers a sense of a small town feel. It's an escape from the every day life. There's a suspense element to this book as well, which puts the reader on edge and makes them guess. I was glad to see that Beth finds happiness after all the trouble she's seen throughout her life.

If you like contemporary romantic suspense, then a Dry Creek Bed is a great book you may enjoy.

They are both torn between protecting their children and maintaining their marriage at the same time. To say it is a difficult situation is putting it mildly. The stress eventually takes its toll, but this family will not give up. The love they share is infinite and enables them to get through anything together.

Being the second book in this series, I am glad I had the opportunity to read the first one. Though it isn't necessary to read them in order, it does help. Either way, once you arrive in Thunder Creek you won't want to leave. This family is full of hard working, hard loving, no nonsense people. Their world revolves around family and they will do anything to protect each other.

Lorraine Nelson has given us a real ranch family. She shows their humor, heart and determination in every aspect. She even manages to make you feel a bit of compassion for Leroy, and he is truly no good. Lorraine captures the true essence of a mother's love and shows us there are no boundaries to it. We have Zakia protecting her children and Winnie protecting her son, yet these women never clash. Winnie is filled with insecurity of her place in this family because of her son's crimes, but the family emphasizes she will always be accepted. It wasn't her fault, it was Leroy's. It is a wonderfully well written book from all points of view.

Come on in, put your feet up and rest a spell. Winnie loves visitors and there's always room for one more.

The next book in this series is Covert Mission and I cannot wait to read it!!

Review: I found the premise to the story delightful but there were some things that caused it to fall a little short for me. If you go into this one expecting a hero who is a dominating, pushy, high-handed stud then you will be thrilled. While the heroine, Andy, wants to tell him to shove it….she never really does.

Several editing issues with misspelled, missing words or the wrong word altogether. Incorrect punctuation is a variety of places through the story. Sentences that just read funny and seemed to have words in the wrong place. All of these made this story very hard to read at times.

Now, does that mean that I hated the story? No, I just think that there were things that could have been polished to really make it shine. I think that I would like to read more from Ms Shortt before I place her on my Must Read list J

Review: Totally naughty...totally HOT! Pushing the boundaries is something that most erotic authors like to do...and Ms Snow has done a good job at it :)

No doubt that Jenica has shown what a good author she is in this tale. It flowed in a way that really moved along and the emotions were dripping off the pages...er screen :)  I look forward to reading more from her in the future :)

Review: Let me begin by saying that the blurb really grabbed me. As I started reading I got sucked in and really enjoyed the story. While I found the characters and the authors ability to craft a tale I had to stop and scratch my head near the end. I had to stop reading, go back and re-read about 15 pages of text. To me it seemed almost as if the author began the story with one ending in mind and later the characters just sort of changed directions on her a bit. Now, I don't know for sure if that was the case, but as a reader I felt a bit confused near the end.

That does NOT mean that overall I didn't enjoy the story. Quite the opposite actually. I am looking forward to reading more from this author in the future. If the intricate nature of this story is any indication of what can be expected of Ms Fresina, I think that I have found a new MUST READ author :)

Review: Beyond Friends has many good points. Good development of the characters. There was never a boring part in the story. It’s fast paced. The characters have flaws and needs so there is a nice conflict building between them and that makes the ending all the more satisfying. There were times when I wanted to smack both Jack and Rain for not seeing what was right in front of them. But I think that showed how the author was in tune to men so young. They tend to leap before looking and Rain is a perfect example of this. So for a short story Beyond Friends has a lot of depth. But not without a few bumps along the way for me as a reader. Fast shifts in POV and short choppy scene breaks had me wondering if I was missing paragraphs in the story because of the abruptness. But on the whole this story is worth reading.

The believability wasn’t there for me. Had this been a longer tale with more time spent between the characters I might have been able to buy it but as it is…I just couldn’t.

Review: This story is hot. The setup is like saying hello...and then let the fireworks begin. Tobias is a sexy…ass. But he was giving Eliza everything she wanted so even though at first he came off as a bit of creep, I still liked him. And she was a good match for him because she was running on lust as well. She wants to get laid and he’s willing. The book is a string of sexual encounters that were so well written that I felt every delicious tingle. If you’re looking for story with titillation, then yep, this had steam coming off the ereader. The insight into their thinking is there, the action, dialog, all good. And although stranger encounters are a bit grittier, edgier, I liked these two. They knew what they were getting when they met. Hot sex. No commitment. It was pure erotica and I wasn’t looking for a happily ever after because I just wouldn’t have believed it without any “romance substance” to this story. It was just sex. And on that the story had merit and would have been good for what it was, hot sex between strangers. So I was a bit surprised when Ms. Jones pushed the characters into love. Strong, determined-to-get-good-sex Eliza went needy. It did detract in the ending for me because it was unbelievable.

Review: I have to admit it was a good plot but I think the story and the love was way rushed. I didn’t really connect with the characters at all. There was a great deal of editing issues including missing and duplicated punctuation throughout.

I think this plot would have worked well without the I love you so fast. Perhaps an I have feelings and want to explore. I found Stella’s acceptance of expensive gifts so soon after meeting him a bit odd. She really didn’t waver at all about the expensive broach or Waterford crystal vase.

Aside from that I have to say that the author certainly has a way with words and the descriptions in this tale were very vivid.

His Heart’s Desire by J.P Barnaby

I felt that the first story in the anthology had more in the way of character development. The erotic aspects of the story really do give more depth to the reasons Matthew and Luca give up so much in the end to be together. The problem was, I kept getting thrown back and forth between past memories, future wishes and present time. I’d keep reading not sure where I was but liking the story anyway. There is a lot of foundation given to get to the end, but it does make for an entertaining read.

Santa’s Helper by C. Beaumont

Great sex, fast pace, hot men and entertaining. For this alone, the anthology is worth picking up, but the other two stories are good as well. I will say that Simon was a bit of a doormat in some places but he’s so damn loveable, I didn’t care. The story isn’t heavy on plot, but has enough substance that it isn’t just a lot of sex…even though it has a lot of curl-the-toes sex.

Tricksy the Christmas Elf by Troy Storm

This story had a bit of grit. It’s crass and vulgar in the most deliciously naughty way. There was a bit of retelling on the story through both characters POV which dragged the story down a bit. But it quickly picks back up. With all the festive descriptions, you can’t help but smile.

Sexy and so very naughty, this is a great holiday anthology.

It was a captivating tale of what one wants to do, should do and is driven to do. All in all I have to say it was a very well put together story with characters that were complete and a plot that was captivating. :)

Review: While I thought the premise was cute, I felt that the hero’s sexually aggressive behavior in the beginning was a bit over the top and the rate in which the heroine falls in love was a bit fast. I know, the word is fiction, but I had a hard time buying some of the aspects of the story.

There were a few editing issues, but aside from that I have to say that the author really did a great job in the descriptions. Like I said, my main issue wasn’t with the authors ability to pen a well painted tale but with the motivation of the characters. Here you have a vamp who is basically stalking a woman who looks like his dead lover. He confronts her, she tells him to go away but he won’t…then they are having sex. When she wakes she realizes he bit her. She tells him to get out and goes to take a shower. He comes to the shower and they do it…a couple times. He leaves and a bad guy tells her she needs to stay away from the hero or he will die. Hero comes back that night and she tells him. He gets mad and they kill the bad guy and live happily ever after.

Review: I really dig a story where the main characters aren't perfect :) Makes it more believable :) Well, as believable as fiction can be anyway, but you know what I mean.

I found the characters to be refreshing and inspiring. The story, well written and motivating. The conflict believable without a doubt. Everything about this one just clicked together and really worked making it a very enjoyable read :)
