Blurb: Shamed by secrets, Anne Meredith will do anything to fulfill her marriage contract to a mysterious Bavarian count. Even if it means submitting to Axel von Sommerhalder, the handsome stranger the count has enlisted to train her. She thinks the intimate punishments her trainer metes out will be a humiliating ordeal. Instead, as she finds herself surrendering to the dominant desires of a man forbidden to claim her, she discovers even more about herself than she ever dreamed possible.

Axel demands that his novice abandon every inhibition. But in doing so, they both embark on a dangerous journey, tempting each other’s flesh, relishing every forbidden touch—and breaking every rule.

Review: Ms. Glass is one of my favorite historical writers in erotic romance. The flavor makes me ache to tumble back in time. And while reading her stories, I do. The brilliance in this story is the depth in which we understand Anne. She’s complicated and yet simple. She is doing what she must…and finding herself in the process. As much as she struggles with her training, she also finds comfort in Axel. Her initial reservations soon turn passionate and the sexual risk explodes on the page. There was so much tension in this book from the sex to the risk of having their true feelings discovered and the risk of acting on them had me breathless and a turned on mess. I savored every word on the page. However, I was disappointed in the ending. Without giving too much of a spoiler, I expected there to be some consequence to the love between Axel and Anne. Instead, it the risk was only within themselves and the ending then proved to be anticlimactic. However, for 95% of the book I was spellbound and tempted. This is a journey of discovery and one any lover of historical BDSM will enjoy.

Blurb: They say she’s a Rebel spy…

Rosalie O’Kelley is not above using her feminine wiles to secure much-needed supplies for her fellow townspeople. But when Union Colonel Eric Skaarsberg is put in charge, Rose’s usual tactics fail miserably. In exchange for supplies, she comes to a scandalous arrangement with him. She agrees to become his willing plaything—to fulfill his every physical need, eagerly and without hesitation.

Eric is duty-bound to ferret out the spy who has been leaking information to the Confederates. All evidence points to the passionate belle who readily responds to every touch and taste he metes out. One by one, he strips away Rose’s secrets, but Eric is not satisfied with owning the she-Rebel’s luscious body. He must uncover the truth of her past at any cost—even if it means the destruction of them both.
Review: WOW!!! I have to say that this one really rang for me. While I usually don’t pick up Civil War era stories, I am really glad that for some reason I felt I needed to read this one. Emotional without a doubt. It tugged me, pulled me and made my stomach churn with anticipation.

What about the lovin? Yeah, it was pretty hot, too. :) All in all a very well written story that was a winner for me and will be read again in the future :)

Blurb: She knew she was playing with fire...and was eager to burn.

The very thought of an innocent young woman donning a man’s uniform and joining the Prussian Army is scandalous. But on the run from an arranged marriage, Erika von Ecker’s destitute circumstances have left her little choice. She expects to earn enough money to buy her way out of the marriage. She does not expect to fall in love with Gregor Altmann von Breidenbach, the handsome heir to a vast duchy.

Prussian law forbids Gregor to marry beneath his title, so he seeks to make the brash beauty his pampered mistress. Erika’s refusal only stokes a fire within that spurs them both toward ever-greater heights of sensuous abandon. But as war looms, Gregor realizes he must do anything in his power to get Erika out of harm’s way--even if it means making her more than a mistress.

Review: A story worth reading and reading again. Characters you wished you’d known, and after reading the book, you feel as if you do.

She endangers him, falls in love with him, will sacrifice all for him but in the end, can she save him? As her journey began, I knew I was reading something intriguing. The story captured my imagination, kept me riveted and scrolling the pages. I couldn’t wait until the next scene so I could catch my breath. But when the next scene began I realized the stakes had only increased and the tension thickened.

The sexual attraction between Gregor and Erika is thick from the beginning. But Debra didn’t rush the magic of their sacrifice—and their love does come with a high price. You’ll be swept into an epic historical romance that takes you from intimate private encounters, to the edge of your seat battle scene. The story made me warm, made me shiver and even made me cry. More Than A Mistress is a story I won’t soon forget.

Badcock by Debra Glass

Blurb: When her fiancé trades her for an heirloom ring to a dashing highwayman who holds up their coach on a desolate country road, Sophia Astley is hurt and shocked. However, it soon becomes strikingly apparent to Sophia that she is the true gem Bad Jack sought. Intrigued, she willingly submits to every tantalizing taboo he metes out to her.

Dressed as a masked highwayman, Jack Badcock, Earl of Stafford, thinks he is acting out the fantasies of a woman he knows only through lurid letters. As Jack tames her with blindfolds, sensual spankings and an array of torrid toys, she plays her role as the abducted, submissive virgin convincingly—too convincingly. By the time Jack uncovers his fantasy lover’s true identity, it’s far, far too late.

Review: What a complete and total bastard!!! No not Jack, I was talking about the fiance :) LOL But I made you stutter there didn't I?

OMG What a totally rocking story filled with a super alpha stud, a young woman who discovers what life and love can really be about and sex.....yeah *sigh* every tantilizing, dirty detail floated my boat and quivered my belly :)

Ms Glass does not fail to deliver on story or erotic content with Badcock. Of course, I haven't read anything of hers that I didn't love :)  but be that as it may, this story still kicked ass by itself and is worth a read even if you have never read Ms glass before :)

*SNAPS* :)

Blurb: Throughout their long engagement, James Camplyon, Earl of Somerset, has fantasized about Patience Hadley Mims’ silken skin and voluptuous curves. He expects his witty, beautiful bride to be timid on their wedding night. But Patience is far more than shy. She’s terrified.

James presents his reluctant bride with a box of risqué novels, ordering her to choose a passage each night for them to act out. Despite her fears, Patience thinks being bound and blindfolded will undo the hard-learned lessons of a lifetime. But she doesn’t count on her husband’s patient resolve to strip away the dark secrets threatening to prevent her from giving herself to him completely.

Blurb: Librarian Jayne Shepard has always lived vicariously through her beloved books, especially Regency-era literature. So when her friends offer the chance to stay in Villa Diodati, where Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein and John Polidori’s The Vampyre were inspired, Jayne seizes the chance.

She expects to absorb the haunting atmosphere of the historic manor located on the shore of Lake Geneva. What she doesn’t expect is an encounter with an enchanting stranger who calls himself Lord Byron—who awakens Jayne to a sensual and sexual ecstasy she’s never before known

Review: Wonderful and as surreal as absinthe intoxication. Emotional, seductive and perfectly erotic. I relished each whispered word, slipped into the drugging euphoria of a story so smooth the characters and their encounters weaved into my psyche made me want, brought me to the peak of pleasure, then made me ache with their parting. These time-crossed lovers stay with you long after the last word is savored.
