Review: I have to say that I am kinda digging this little series :) This is the second that I have read and while I typically don't care for first person present tense stories, it works with these.

I enjoyed the little twist in this story. Really gave it a nice little snap near the end. Now I know that you are going to look at the length of the blurb vs the length of the review and say WTH? But really, the blurb pretty well summarizes the story and anything else that I COULD tell you would basically just give away the story. Hot sex packed into a few pages. Just what I needed :)

Review: I didn’t really care for a few of the emotional aspects of this story, but overall I did enjoy it. If you are thinking about picking up this one for the KINK aspect, be aware that I found the kink lacking. Not to say that the sex wasn’t hot and well written, because it was. I just didn’t find much kink in the story. Fetish? Yeah, but not really anything kinky.

All in all it was a cute, fast, hot read that was just right. :)

Gerty is a very superstitious 82 year old who tells Josie there are 3 men lurking around who want to take her gem and men should never have possession of it or they would "fornicate themselves to death." She wants Josie to take the heart shaped, blue, glass looking, object because she doesn't want Travis to have it and have bad things happen to him.

Gerty puts the stone in Josie's pocket and the first time she and Travis see each other in the old ladies' room Josie and Travis can't keep their hands off each other. They had not liked each other before, but now they are, as Josie put it, "denim fucking". I had never heard this term before, but what do I know?

From then on, things get very active. Josie gets stuck in a snowstorm; they go to mutual friends' home. There the 3 men appear. There are break-ins, kidnappings, yes as in more than one kidnapping, wild escapes, beatings, harassing old Gerty, involvement by Travis's Aunt Mabel and his cousins, and lots of HOT sex scenes involving Josie and Travis. Like the one where she sprawls on the couch and throws one leg over the back of it or the scene where they are interrupted and when she goes to answer the door she turns to face him and fingers herself.

Review: These two characters are sure cut from different cloth. No two ways about it for sure. In the begining they have basically NOTHING in common. While I am not usually too fond of heros who seem to beg for the heroines love, for some reason it worked in this story.

She is just such a hard core bad ass that it wouldn't have worked any other way. He HAD to be the one to do the chasing.

Overall it was a cute, touching, emotional story that I am glad I read. :) I will be looking for more from Ms Kaye in the future.

Review: Holy CRAP!!! I am a super big sucker for novels that are just filled to the brim with emotion I can feel. Oh damn this story rocked!!! While maybe…ok, totally, not traditional mainstream regency historical, that was one of the things that I really liked about it.

Ms Marvelle has captured emotion, desperation, self-loathing and love and wrapped it up in one fantastically ass kicking ride that I have to say will be sticking with me for a long time to come. My only sorrow is that it ended. But like all great stories, I take comfort in the fact that it will remain and I can re-visit anytime I desire…which will be very soon :)

Review: This was one of those stories that just sucked me in on the first page and kept chewing on me until it was finished. And all in a wonderful way :)

There is no doubt that premium stories like this one, written by such talented authors is the reason that Harlequin has such a stellar record. Nothing but fine material and touching, engaging stories.

Ms Michaels has crafted a tale that tied me up in knots, left me clutching and gasping, and in the end left me with a wonderful fulfilled feeling that I love to get when I finish a great story.

Yet another rip roaring, page scrolling, work of art from Ms Gordon. This one sucked me in, squeezed me tight, and left me breathless…literally! Hell, once I finished the story…and the “about the author” I sucked in a deep breath and felt the tension leave my chest…THAT’S HOW GOOD IT WAS 

Oy vey…If this is what readers can expect every time from Abby Gordon, I’m not sure I can handle more than a few of her books…every week  It has been a long time since I was THIS wrapped up in both characters and story. I can usually count on one or the other but when I get both, with ass kicking sex, written by an author with this much talent? All I can say is look out world. Abby Gordon is a must read for me but then I knew that after reading Beck and Call 

While the story line pulled me in from the start, once these two get together his total Dom comes out and some may find his methods a bit on the harsh side from time to time. I really enjoyed the intrigue of the theft and the what-for’s behind it.

I chuckled a bit at the misuse of bullets with shotguns and I was a bit perplexed at the lack of sexual protection in the story. But neither cast really any big shadows.

Aside from that the story was well written, entertaining to experience and hot! You can bet that I will be checking out more of her work in the future :)

Review: This one kept me on the edge of my chair until I finished it; and I am not really 'into' mystery/suspense/romance stories. And that it is exactly what this tale is about.

Ring of Lies revolves around the huge blue diamond in a ring; who has worn it, who has owned it, who has stolen it, and to whom does it actually belong. These are the questions that Ivey and Dominick are trying to find answers for. Their meeting, romance, disagreements and mistrust and passion for each other all have to do with the blue diamond ring.

This is a story with many twists and turns. His mother Lorena, her aunt Fey, her godfather Jamie and Ivey herself are connected by this ring which the Gibbons family had buried along with other family valuables during the Civil War. Why were Dom's mother and Ivey's aunt murdered? Where has the ring been since its disappearance twenty years ago and how does it end up in Ivey's possession? How was it found and who found it?

This story makes for gripping reading. Godfather Jamie is running for a Congress position. Ivey is opening a new Cosmic Cafe. There are home break-ins, attempted muggings, chases into dark alleys, shootings and more action to make this a great action/mystery, romance story. The romance itself sometimes takes a back seat to the blue diamond ring intrigue. But Boy Howdy! They are a hot pair when they are speaking to each other.

I liked the action, I liked the romance, I really liked this book that I expected to be ho hum bored trying to slog through. Descriptions of the action like the scene where Ivey was chased into a dark alley made my heart pound. And with my high blood pressure, I don't need a racing heart.

I liked it! And I will probably read it again. Enjoy your reading of Ring of Lies.

Review: Not quite what I expected. Though to tell you the truth…I’m not sure what I expected.

The mechanics of the sex were hot and even though there were times when the dialogue was 70’s porno cheesy, it was okay. I guess maybe I expected something a little dirtier, grittier….naughtier than what I got. I barely got the gyno feel aside from the fact that she was on a gyno table and the men kept calling each other Doctor.

There was a part of me that, until the final scene, kept hearing porn music in my mind :) Berm-chicka-berm-berm. Roxie “creamed” a good bit, which is fine, but I could have used some other words as the descriptive rather than the same one over and over. Once the actual “sex” got going it was over pretty quick. The foreplay up until then was moderately arousing, but got doused quickly by the cheesy lines.

I think that the plot had great potential but just failed to deliver for me. Like I said, not really sure what I was expecting…but I didn’t get it. No tingles, twinges, tugs or necessary wetness when reading this one.

Review: I wanted to love this story. I wanted to love the characters. And I wanted there to be more BDSM erotic romance in a book from Ellora’s Cave in the BDSM line. But sadly, this story fails to deliver on why I read books from EC. I want a great story with hot sex. And usually I get it. But in this case, I got a great story but it wasn’t the heat and character intensity of Ms Jamieson’s usual offerings, (although it’s clear a great deal of research on olives and the olive industry went into the book).

Ms. Jamieson’s talents are indisputable. But this story’s focus was on olives. The scenery, the education of olives, and even to some degree Tara’s interaction with her family take over a story. In the mist of all that, there is a secondary story with Tara’s sister and Joe’s friend. I can only assume their role in the story is to set up a future story, but they became more filler in the book with short little scenes that contributed nothing to the story of Tara and Joe.

I want to be clear, in pieces this story has stellar moments. When the sex happens, it’s hot. The BDSM lifestyle is briefly in play, but the bigger focus is getting Tara to submit to Joe, to acknowledge her deeply buried needs. But I felt the author missed out on giving us more. Several times, I could feel a scene building. I was finally going to read some of the intense content, and then the focus would shift and the scene would end and move on, failing to follow through.

There is also too much secrecy in Joe’s character. I think I would have connected to him more if we would have gotten more of his story. But his history and past are only alluded to for most of the book.

I have read other works by Ms. Jamieson, books that have remained on my keeper shelf because they were so spectacular. She will remain on my must have list. So while this one fell short for me, it was still an interesting read. The quality of the writing and the flow of the words were without question, above par. It’s still worth the money.

Review: I must confess that this was a really good story. There were some parts near the end that confused me and left me stumbling, but I just read them and moved on hoping that in the end it would all make sense. It did, for the most part but I wish I would have gotten it when I was reading it.

Aside from that one thing the rest of the story rocked. I loved the emotion filled story and the characters. Made for a really good read :)

Review: Interesting. This is the first Pre-Historic romance, erotic or otherwise, that I have read. I expected something akin to Clan of the Cave bear and got one just about those lines.

Crude tools and living environments. New words. A totally different life than what we know or can imagine. The author really did a wonderful job in the telling of this tale. I was pleasantly surprised. with the entire process :)  The author really did a wonderful job pulling me back in time, making it sexy and arousing, and giving a good story.

Let me start by saying that I was sucked in from the blurb. And since my family is full of jar heads and devil dogs, it just hit a bit closer. I’ve always had a thing for dress blues, and even though there weren’t any in this story, the guys were smokin’! The story? Oh, yeah. It rocked ass, too :)

The author, Ms Reed, was able to pull it all together in a wonderfully classy way that left me craving more of her work.

**SNAPS** And can I just share this from her ABOUT THE AUTHOR… “Nothing stirs the blood quite like a platoon of sweaty Marines running by in formation, does it ladies?” OMG!!! I just got shivers and tingles :o

Review: Let me start by saying…HOLY HOTNESS!!!! I want to do that again :) Then let me mention that I was a bit taken aback by the fact that these strangers (who don’t even know each other’s names) use no condom because she is on the pill but there is NO mention of anything else in the way of STD testing. Now, I don’t know about you but that just ain’t how I roll. Don’t get me wrong, there have been times in my younger days when….anyway ;) It is my opinion that in this day in age with everything that is going around, one should ALWAYS use prophylactic and if they choose not to with a perfect stranger…well?

Enough of my rant and back to what I thought of the story as a whole. Kick ass. Hot, sexy, steamy and right on the money with what I expected and wanted when I selected this one.

I usually read the ABOUT THE AUTHOR section in every book. I have to say that Ms Fox has a really good one :) I am not sure I have laughed that hard in a really long time. It was a really cute incite into the mind of the author who penned such a cute hot read :)

An emotion filled tale that had me gasping, laughing and wringing my hands. I followed this story through the ups and downs and twists and turns. Without a doubt THIS tale is not one that I will soon forget. Don't go into this story thinking that you have any clue as to what you are going to get...'cause baby you'll be suprised :)

This was a cute, fast, short read that was just hot enough and just interesting enough for a quick romp. Not too much in depth detail that I struggled to keep up. A very pleasing shorty.

Review: As a follower of Ms Holt’s work I have to say that I have come to expect certain things when I pick up one of her books. Hot men, rocking sex and emotion. This kinky little title had it all.

While I thought that the “I love you” can a bit fast, I was able to roll with it. These two characters each have a need and they were able to find someone who not only shared their desires but someone who they truly liked. Another good story from this author :)

While there were times when April was very wishy-washy…I want you, no I don’t, let’s bone, I can’t do this…Ms Daniels gave me enough that I bought it. The layers and emotions of these characters were paced right there for me. With so many dimensions that it was super easy to get sucked into the story and fall in love with it. Even with the yes, no complex.

Sexy just isn’t a strong enough word for me to tell you how this story felt for me. DAMN SEXY would be closer but it still doesn’t hit it. Oh well. I guess you’ll just have to settle for….(insert your own expletive here)

Loved it loved it loved it. **SNAPS** for Wynter on this tale. I can’t wait to see what she writes next :)

Review: When I pick an Exotika there are things that I expect. I know that I am going to be getting sex in abundance and a story that is sex driven. I know that there is no need for a HEA but I might get one. So, you wanna know what I thought of this one? Probably one of the best I have read in this line :)

I was very pleased with the way the author wrote the ménage scenes. They weren’t over the top but were done very tastefully. I really enjoyed the BDSM and the plot. While there is no HEA there is enough meat that I want to know what happens next :)

Review: Sadly, this story is a mess. From underdeveloped characters, to a non-existent plot, to badly written storytelling. When I saw this story on the coming soon page at Ellora’s Cave, and then when I read the excerpt, I couldn’t wait to get the hot little book into my reader. I know what I’m going to get with EC books. Lots of scorching hot sex and a good story to go along with it. And I have read other work by Ms. Valentine so I had high hopes that this story would be great.

What happened?

Huge blocks of sex become monotonous because there really isn’t much variation in execution. Chunks of telling me what was going on in the story rather than letting me experience the scene with the character. The whole plot is weak. For nearly the entire story, it’s one sex scene to the next. Any contribution to the underlying story or in the development of the characters is so miniscule there isn’t much reason to mention it. In the last few pages of the story, we’re reminded that there is a stalker out there. A few paragraphs later, climax over—(for me literally because at this point I knew this review wasn’t going to be pretty.) Any resolution to the story is in a passing mention. So if you like lots of sex with no connection to the characters (Insert peg A into slot B) and very little substance to plot, characters, action and dialog, then this book is readable. If you want to be drawn in, feel every tingly breath of a sexual journey, then this one isn’t for you.

To be fair to Ms. Valentine. this book, for me, failed to deliver an entertaining read. But I have read other work by this author and she is a talented writer. So my recommendation would be to pick up something else written by her.

Book Two enriches all we learned in Book One – Zoner. There is definitely the stirring of more than sex, and more than experiencing the Sweet Sisters of Pain and Pleasure. David and Bells are beginning to admit that they want more than a temporary contract. But there are still trust issues and secrets between them.

You don’t have the full story at the end of Control, but it was clearly the conclusion of another “act” in the story of David and Bells. Each story is building on the last, so these are best read in order. But read them because the series is unique and the books are well written with lots of hot sex that will make you sweat.

It’s a lot to absorb and I think it’s one of those stories that is even better on the second reading because you understand more of this world and the “cyberpunk” elements.

The opening scene leads you into the story and but like a scary movie, you know danger is lurking around the corner. Your radar is going off, but when – bam!—the unexpected happens, it just intensifies everything. I felt that way while reading the story. I was entertained, I liked the set-up, but when the Bam! moment happened, I became hooked in much the same way Jessman becomes hooked on Bells and the Sweet Sisters—Pleasure and Pain.

The sex scenes in Zoner will curl your toes, leave you breathless, yet aching for more. The characters are fantastic and with each page, I was more invested in their story. This is the first book in a series and you are definitely left knowing you’ve only just scratched the surface. This is also a series that needs to be read in order or you’ll miss out on the depth of their burgeoning relationship.

Review: I have just finished reading the final page of this book and have to say that it was way cute :) Full of vivid imagination and totally good scenes. Laugh out loud parts and some really invintive situations and locations.

While the vast majority of the story takes place in just a few days and this couple voices their love in that time, I bought it. The went through some pretty amazing things together and their emotions just bloomed. Totally worked and I really dug it. While there was some confusion for me about exactly how long she was actually a prisinor in her bottle (the # of years changed a couple times) it wasn't a  big deal and didn't detract from the wild ride and fulfillung ending for these two :)

Review: I am no stranger to this series or Ms Cornick's work. I adore both :)

Yet again, Nicola has graced readers with a tasty, tantalizing treat for the senses. And not just one either. I could see, smell, hear and feel everything in this riveting story from start to finish. A wonderful addition to the series and as a stand-alone. There were times while reading this tale that I was literally holding my breath, waiting to find out what was going to happen next. :)

Without a doubt this is one of the finest regency set historical series that I have read in years. ***SNAPS*** Nicola, you kicked ass :)

Review: I have to say that this story started a bit slow for me. It was a little different than what I expected…but not in a bad way. There were just some things that I didn’t expect. While there weren’t quite as many ups and downs as I expected for this length of a story it was still good. There were times when I felt like I was on a plateau for a good while before the rolling hills began.

All in all it was a good read with a pretty powerful message and very real situations that really hit my heart strings. I liked the way the author put “the shoe on the other foot” where the hero and heroine were concerned. I never expected him to be….. Anyway :) I liked the change. It was refreshing :)

Review: I did like the intro page Praise for Sharon Buchbinder, which pretty well was a description of the main plot. "an out-of-the-frying-pan-into-the-fire adventure for Genie and Jim when they buy the Summerville Inn to renovate." Both of these great characters have their own motive for wanting the Inn. But, another character wants it also, for his nefarious gambling casino plans. Tony, the bad guy (and boy is he bad!) causes all sorts of misadventures for Genie and Jim when they pool their money and outbid him. 'The Wolf" is an appropriate nickname for this “short dark hirsute with knuckles practically dragging the ground." Can't you just envision this man or should I say "thing' because I could not find anything to like about him.

Genie and Jim are familiar with the Inn because they went to school together in the town. They are both nice, likable people in their late 30s or early 40s. Both have had problems in the past but are working to control them. They give some great compliments for Alcohol Anonymous and Weight Watchers. They almost immediately turn their business partnership into something much more personal. It was romantic, but not overly sensual. I think that is the main reason I liked this story. Ms. Buchbinder spent more time developing the plot and its action and less sex to fill pages to make a quota.

Beth and Dick are the other people in this story, she is a realtor and he is chief of police who has ties to Tony, the former Mafia hit-man from New Jersey.

All five of these characters, good, bad, and not so bad are described in action and thought. This is one of those stories in which the participants seem to come alive and step off the page. Tony in particular was so vivid that I almost wanted to reach out and slap the gum wad out of his mouth.

There are some very heart-touching moments, like the scene where the stray black mama cat and her three kittens are rescued in their floating litter pan. It is real life descriptions like this one that make me really remember the book and want to read it again.

Review: Holy Flaming Schnoodles!!!Schnoodles? Yeah, I giggled :) But WOW the stud was smokin'....literally!  What a great, action packed story full of powerful emotions that just drive the story forward. And the drive was WAY hot!!!!

I loved the compromise at the end and how Ms Rowe made it all work. While at times it is very graphic, there were some laugh out loud scenes that really take the edge off the pain.  Great book and one that I totally plan on reading again :) Will I be on the look-out for more from this author? You betcha. Her fight scenes are detailed but not over the top and boring. The imagination and witty remarks through the story really made it buzz.

Winner for me :) and one that I won't soon forget :)

I was impressed with this story and all the layers that all seemed to build on each other. It made for a sexy, fast paced, entertaining read that was totally rocking.

Complete with a few surprises, a couple of laughs and more than one spot that made me shift in my seat, I have to say that I really enjoyed it and can’t wait to read this one again. I liked the way the author wrote how the heroine was turned and all the sexual tension between the hero and the heroine. It really made the hero “feel” real.
