Review: Though not what I would consider a typical romance story the plot was well thought out. Complete with main characters, a bad guy, a conflict and a resolution....of sorts :)

Though the writing seemed a bit novice at times the authors ability to weave a complex and detailed tale was above par. The only other thing I can say without spoiling is that I hate it when main characters die. Though I totally understand the authors need to do this in the story, Like every other reader who becomes invested in a story and it's characters when you loose one, it sucks.

I will be on the lookout for more from this author. I liked her ability to work a story and would like to see more from her.

Review: Holy smokes, wait that’s me sizzling and popping. I’m going to need an after sex cigarette after reading this story. And I don’t smoke! I loved the way Ms. Campbell constructed this story. Although most of the sex occurs during 900 number phone calls, it’s written in a way that puts you in the room with the characters. My tummy swooped and I twisted on my seat from the tingles. Short but oh so hot. This story is sinfully delicious.

I also want to mention the flow of the words. The scenes built like an impending orgasm. You could feel it coming, you wanted to get there, but getting there feels so good you want to drag it out. And then the ending was perfect and satisfying.

Review: Like dark decadent chocolate the words melt in your mouth. Perfect setup, perfect execution, flawless ending. For the time it took me to read this engaging little quickie, I believed there just might be a tortured eternal love out there looking for me. This incredibly arousing quickie is perfect escapism. It’s snowing, the wind is blowing, it’s freaking cold outside, but because of Happy Howlidays, I’m toasty warm and a turned on mess.

This was the perfect length story to tell the tragic fairytale of Alexander and Elysabeth. But like all fairytales, in the end there is a happily ever after. Yes, it was perfect.

They see Nikki, they want her, and oh man do they get her. Okay, so you can see this book is really about the sex. Well, hey isn’t that what we want from an EC quickie?

All sex aside, this is also a really touching story. Both Nikki and the wolves have had tormented existences. These three need each other and it was….um…arousing to see them together.

Review: Red Shadow is a complex story. But sometimes when a story can take so many twists and turns it leaves you dizzy. There are really several stories going on at the same time. You have a developing love story between Ania and Johann that will leave you breathless, a thriller with a rogue sociopath that keeps you on the edge of your seat and a battle to save a diseased brother, a devastated business and a woman meeting her destiny head on.

I have to be honest here and say there were times that the stories didn’t seem to weave together, but yet other times the words were a tapestry of fast paced, explosive storytelling. At halfway through the story, I was confused at Johann’s relationship with Ricardo. I also didn’t believe Ania’s reaction to it. For me it felt like male/male interaction thrown in for titillation, but it didn’t work for this reader (and I love m/m romances). The relationship between Johann and Ricardo didn’t add to the story and as quickly as Ricardo came in and staked a claim on Johann and fucked Ania, he was then gone again and no part of the resolution to the story. Basically 20 pages of the story that didn’t need to be there.

However, when you get to the end of the book and the action is fast and furious, and it more than makes up for the lapse in story midway through the book. The ending is so spine tingling and edge of your seat squirmy, that you will fear for Johann and Ania’s very survival.

I loved that this story didn’t always go where I expected it to. I hated that Bella’s solution was to run away from her problems, yet to stay would have meant the death of the wolf she loves. Alpha males aren’t supposed to be sweet and agreeable and in the case of Volan, he isn’t. But Devlyn is hardly a beta hero. He’s strong, determined and sexy as hell. Fight scenes that will have your heart pounding and love scenes to leave you breathless. This story has everything to make a wonderful read.

I have to say that when Lacey joined the ménage, I squirmed on my chair a bit, not just from the hot, totally erotic sex, (I am starting to love a little girl on girl action.) but because the outcome could have had devastating consequences. However, Ms. Devlin played the grouping perfectly.

I loved almost everything about the story. But I have to say, I would have preferred the long term potential remain a mystery. I didn’t like the idea of raising children in this high sex, high kink environment. Raw Silk is fun and exciting, but I’d rather stay in the fantasy of the erotic story.

Review: Have you ever read a book that you couldn't put down......but not for the normal reasons? I have to say that the h/h are not your typical characters. He is an alcoholic, drug using sex addict. She has relationship issue. When these two bump into each other during their suicide attempts fate throws them a bone.

This story takes you on a journey of his drying out and her learning to trust. Not your typical "box" romance for sure. The characters come with a LOT of baggage and issues that they need to overcome before you get to the Happy ending. The story itself was well written and the characters stayed true to form. Ms Elsborg has done a great job creating two very flawed main characters and still delivering a satisfying story. With hot sex this is a well rounded title.

*I do feel compelled to mention a scene between the hero and an underage girl. Though NO SEX was depicted it did happen off page.*

This is not the first title by this author that I have read. Though I am not sure I would read this one again, Ms Elsborg has proven that she is not afraid to craft a well written tale and test the boundaries. I will be keeping my eyes peeled for more from Ms Elsborg in the future.

Review: HOWLING good time!!! This short was absolutely adorable! I loved the new twist on Lycans, of which I would have never thought about. Most people have the stereotypical thought process of what Werewolves should be.

Even the villain gets his up-and-comings. It just goes to show that “the grass is not always greener on the other-side”. Two Paws Up!

Review: Mrs. Lai, you truly surprise me! In such a short span you have managed to have me intrigued with your world(s) and with your characters, even the ones that deserved to live humiliation. I honestly say I could put myself in (almost) each character’s position and completely understand the reaction. I applaud you for not having your main characters jump into the sack with each other, and allowing the time to pass.

My only issue with your work here; is to say that it was too short for me! I want more!! ;-)

Review: An interesting tale about two women who trade places across the span of time. Ms Simpson really has a way of opening your imagination to the possibilities of "what if?" I can only imagine what these two couples went through during the time when the wives were swapped...No I'm not talking about swinging :) but a swap across time without consent. Try explaining that one to your hubby....or the strange man who says you are his wife...HOLY CRAP !! who are you crazy man and just what do you think you are doing? :)

Though there were some minor editing issues and it may not be what most would classify as "romance" the story was totally enjoyable and one I could not put down once I got started. When I was forced to step away from the computer.....drat life for interfering :) I was eager to return to discover what was going to happen next.

With characters who are easy to like, Ms Simpson has done another good job. This is not the first, nor will it be the last book of hers I pick up. Thank you, Ginger for the escape from the mundane. You never fail in the delivery :)

Review: In this, the Age of the Online; it is nice to know that one can play games, socialize, and research for knowledge; amongst other things. It is also nice to know that you do not have to depends on the online dating sites (no offense to those whom may use them), to find someone to develop a relationship with – not just a romantic one.

In this clever novella, our heroine has enough common sense to know that it ‘might’ be a bad idea to meet up with a man she has ‘known’ online for several months. However, after doing her research on him, they go to a public local restaurant for the face-to-face meet-and-greet (I for one have never liked those HA!). From there our love story blossoms.. I can almost feel her torment as she over thinks everything. I love her cousins/friends, whom tell her like it is and do not beat around the bush (we should all be so lucky to have cousins/friends like that).

The research project, on both sides, was very intriguing to me. I wonder, do you know someone who is conducting such research, or did you think it up along the way. Never the less - Bravo Mrs. Dryden! Bravo!

Review: What a wonderfully written Regency romance. Full of deceit, revenge, lust, love, broken friendships and misunderstandings. All of these elements when artistically combined make for a wonderful tale.

This title is no exception. Ms Green has done a superb job crafting a tale with a riveting plot and wonderful characters. I enjoyed every last page and am ready to read it again. Rest assured that I will be keeping my eyes open for more of Ms Green's work. If this is any indication as to what we can expect for this author in the future I have to say her future looks bright :)

Review: Though during a few spots Julianne comes across as a totally spoiled child, I really came to understand her character and feel what is was she experienced as the story rolled on. Terrel was the type of man in the beginning that you could see as the shy giant, but boy does he give a surprise :)

A captivating sensual read that will leave you with happy thoughts and a smile on your face. I always have loved a good story where the couple starts off thinking it will never work only to have them rise to the occasion and totally knock the other one on their duff.

I will certainly be looking for more from this author in the future. She really has a knack for historical western stories :)

Review: Let me start by saying that once I started I couldn't put it down. The plot was interesting and kept me reading. The hero and heroine were enjoyable for the most part though they both showed some unheroic traits. I can't say too much without spoiling but at one point I was so disgusted with both of them I wanted to scream.....but obviously I kept reading so maybe it wasn't all that bad. All I will say is the hero was manipulative toward the heroine and she was a bit unfaithful to him (IMHO). You will understand after you read the book :)

Though this historical is set in New York 1852, I did not feel like I was reading an American historical. This book had the feel of a Regency story the entire way and I did find one historical inaccuracy that did not work for a story set in the states.

I know what you must be thinking...With all that why did it get a 7 on the story score? Well, in spite of the issues that I had with the characters and location of the story I STILL couldn't stop reading until I was to the last page :) Ms Campbell does a great job keeping readers engaged even if there are a few snags. The mystery was interesting and woven very well through the entire story. Secondary characters were well written and helped keep the story moving.

This is not the first, nor will it be the last of Ms Campbell's work that I pick up and read.

I really felt the emotions working in both of the characters. Her anger and his want. My heart ached for Gray while I waited for Sydney to make her decision but in the end I was more than satisfied :) and so were they ;)

Review: Now here is a sweet story that is just as the genre describes.....sweet. Sometimes it takes a bit to realize that what you need is right under your nose, no matter if you are a business owner or a person looking for your other half.

I have to say that I did enjoy watching these two try to deal with the emotions they were feeling while trying to maintain a good working relationship and follow the rules. Complete with good secondary characters and a nice plot, this is one that should be read and enjoyed when you are looking for an easy read that will leave you with a good feeling in your chest at the end.

With an included IM sex scene that was cute, this erotica delivered 100% in the erotic end. What more can you ask for in an Exotica title. In the end the relationship issues were resolved between h/h and I was left feeling emotionally (and otherwise :) satisfied.

Review: This is the second story in the Crossroads series. After reading the first one, I was pleasantly surprised to see this story delved deeper into the sizzling romance between Rand and Frank. Their relationship is volatile and complicated and Ms. Diablo does a wonderful job of making her readers sympathize with each of them in a very unique way.

Ms Diablo also brilliantly weaves erotic sex and developing emotion with a twisting and turning romantic suspense. As a reader I wasn’t surprised at where the story was heading, but that didn’t make the ride any less exhilarating. Like a thrilling high-speed roller coaster, I knew the drop off was coming but my heart still raced, my blood pounded, but in the case of Rand and Frank, I was also a turned on mess. Oh those kinky boys—I love them!

While I struggled with the first story in the series, I have already read and loved the third story in the series (see the review in the archives of Seriously Reviewed) so I can only hope Ms. Diablo will titillate us with another chapter in this not-so-charming, but damn loveable couple.

Review: Talk about a hard book to score. There were aspects of this story that cut like a knife. I felt the intensity, the passion and the conflict. Those passages in the story deserve a rating of 10. Thrilling moments, edge of your seat suspense. However, there were other aspects that left me so horrified that I wanted to put down the book….but I couldn’t. There are instances where a character is written to the point that they can’t be redeemed. I felt Frank rode this edge. The beginning sex scene is rape. Violent, aggressive, brutal rape. My stomach churned, but I think that is what Ms. Diablo wanted for a response otherwise why would she have written it this way?

I wish Rand would have realized who was in the room, before the sex occurred. Then I could almost understand the scene and the connection between Rand and Frank that follows. However, the enlightenment doesn’t occur until he’s alone. The story is brought back when you realize Rand wants Frank with the same intensity.

The sex, while aggressive and rough, from that point forward is consensual in an implied sort of way. It’s hot, descriptive and highly erotic.

This story is not for the meek. Be prepared for in your face angst and carnal lust that crosses accepted boundaries. But in the end, you’ll have read a story of two unforgettable men. Thankfully, this is the first in the series and Frank and Rand have time to explore their volatile relationship. I’ll be coming along with them, because as disturbing as some parts were, I’m hooked.

The brush of a velvet muzzle across her cheek. The soft puff of warm breath lovingly huffed into her hair. The intoxicating aroma of fresh hay and horse. Yeah, yeah, can you tell I'm a horse girl :)

When I found out Ms Reardon was writing a book about her ranch and the horses she has helped I was THRILLED!!! Who wouldn't be? Whether you are an owner, an equine professional or just a little horse crazy, this tantalizing tale gives a spectacular glimpse into the life of a race horse.

I laughed, cried, gasped and laughed a bit more. In the end when I breathlessly finished the book I was smiling and speechless. All I could do was close the hardback and run my fingers over the dust jacket. Ms Reardon has captured the magic, and there truly is a magic about horses. She has shown us a clear picture that all we need do to see it is open our hearts and minds.

Second chances are hard enough to come by, but when you are granted one sometimes the road you have to take can be painful, scary, filled with new friends and at the end of the yellow brick road hopefully love and a forever home :) *SNAPS* Lynn on such a fantastic job. Both on the book and the wonderful work that you do at the ranch. I don't know that I want to envision a world without a place like LOPE. Every deserves to be granted the ability to have a happy life :)

Review: An interesting mix of first and third person POV's. This suspense had a riveting plot, captivating characters, twists and turns. A good "keep you on the edge" and "keep you interested"

Ms Eason has penned a great suspense that is sure to earn her a place on many e-shelves and keep her on the need to read lists for quite awhile. Keep it up as this reviewer will be looking for your name in the future :)

Review: There is a difference between EROTIC and EROTICA. I am a fan of both forms of hot, spicy writing. This shorty seemed to have more story than sex and for an erotica that isn't usually the norm. With only one oral scene (on him) and one sex scene, I felt it could have been expanded to really amp up the heat.

The plot line itself was cute and would have made a great story had it been a little longer. But if you like your Erotica a bit on the raunchy side then here is a good one for you. There were some pretty graphic refrences to smell, taste and some other comments.
Some parts game across as D/s but it really wasn't. It didn't really strike me as Erotica either. Erotic yes, but not enough sex to qualify as Erotica. I don't think I will be judging this first time author by this title. I would like to see more from her in the future before I decide whether she goes on my automatic read list.
