Blurb: He wasn’t looking for trouble…
But when the cops are knocking on your door, trouble’s definitely found you. And this is where Wil Marshall finds himself after checking in to the Longhorn Inn. It could all be a big mistake, but Wil’s not getting much sleep. Then the motel owner—who is drop dead gorgeous and feisty to boot—saves him from an even worse night behind bars. Now he owes her one, big time…
But Trouble comes in all shapes and sizes…
Pearl never wanted that run-down motel, but her aunt didn’t leave her much choice. And then this steaming hot cowboy shows up looking for a place to rest. Next thing she knows, she wants to offer him more than just room service.
But if he calls her Red one more time, he won’t be the only one accused of murder…

Review: Another knock your socks off tale from Ms Brown. Vivid and crafty, this tale has it all. Sexy, punchy and heart-stopping. With characters that will stick with you long after the story is over.

Ms Brown has made me a fan for life :) Not that I wasn't already but this one secured it for me :)

Blurb: In this third installment of Chase’s lively, sexy, paranormal trilogy, we meet witch Morgaine, who is deathly afraid of the dark, and her vigilante vampire neighbor Sly, who has his reasons for hating sunlight. Sly needs Morgaine’s magic to help heal a broken fang, but with further help, and sometimes hindrance, from the wacky apartment dwellers around them, they may become each other’s last hope for a normal life…

Review: This was one of those stories that you just love to love :) From a kooky ghost to medeling neighbors, these two totally have their work cut out for them. I laughed, I sighed and I have to say that I am ready to do it all over again.

Not only are the characters amazingly written, but the story itself has so much depth that I felt as if I were right there in the thick of things the whole time. I love an author that can suck me in and Ms Chase really does.

Blurb: She couldn't believe her eyes.
Stressed out ad-exec Dakota wandered into Catamount Outfitters in search of a guide for a wilderness excursion. She didn't expect to be greeted by not one, but five of the most ruggedly delicious-looking men she'd ever seen. Not to mention a live cougar guarding the shop.

The Falke brothers have more than just good looks in their genes.
Eldest brother Axel agrees to guide Dakota on her mountain trek. In cougar form, Axel's twin, Gunnar, was there as a protection from predators—but he had his eye on the sexy client instead.

Into the wild...
While the rule with clients was "paws-off," both Axel and Gunnar couldn't resist Dakota's seductive Native American beauty and determination. As cold days led to hot nights in the cabin, Axel and Gunnar wondered if they'd finally found a woman strong enough to tame them...

Review: As I expected this duo has crafted another rocking tale that will not leave you disappointed :) I am never left wanting when I pick up a Keaton/Layle tale :)

This team has a rhythm that makes it look so easy. Their characters are deep and life-like. The situations, even when paranormal, are believable and the passion ignites the pages. Another winner from a great pair :)

Blurb: In her mid-thirties, fashion editor Karen has it all: a handsome boyfriend, a fab flat in west London, and an array of gorgeous shoes. But when her boyfriend, Eric, leaves she makes an unexpected decision: to hang up her Manolos and wave good-bye to her glamorous city lifestyle to go it alone in a run-down house in rural Poitou-Charentes, central western France.

Review: I have never really been much of one to snap up biographies but when I got the email about this one.....well, something about it just appealed to me :)

Nothing about this book was what I expected. It was way better. I had tugs, flutters and laughts that were so intense I thought I would wet myself :) My hats off to Ms Wheeler for sharing this tale with us. The ups and the downs. The ins and the outs. I loved every freaking one of them. Now.....when can I go to France? :)

Blurb: Sylvester, Duke of Salford, has exacting requirements for a bride. Then he meets Phoebe Marlow, a young lady with literary aspirations, and suddenly life becomes very complicated. She meets none of his criteria, and even worse, she has written a novel that is sweeping through the ton and causing all kinds of gossip… and he’s the main character!

Review: Ho-de-do and away we go :) There is a reason the Ms Heyer's work has stood the test of time. This tale was by far and away one of the wittiest romances that I have read. And that is saying alot considering the original copyright is from the 50's :)

While I have never really been an avid reader of "the classics" Ms Heyer has whetted my appitite for more. and if you consider that she has a wide selection to pick from you can bet that this won't be the only one I will be picking up :)

With laughs aplenty this wonderful tale will be finding a home on my keeper shelf.

Review: WOW! Ms Grey has crafted a wonderful story that grabbed me from the first page and didn't let go until the last :)  This was without a doubt one of the best historicals that I have read in a long, long time and you can be sure that I will be reading it again soon.

Secret loves, missing lap dogs, aging mastiffs, a forced mariage....what isn't to love? Woven in a way that truely awed me, Ms Grey has found a fan for life.

SNAPS in a big way :)

Blurb: Kate is a young widow, left alone, having no children of her own, and would do anything to see that her youngest sister, Alison, gets a chance at a happy life. When Alison is taken hostage by an evil warlord who intends to wed her, Kate offers to trade herself to the warlord in place of her sister.

Ethan MacGregor has spent his life fighting among the clans of the Scottish Highlands, trying desperately to bring peace to his territory. Finally ready to settle down and establish a household, he only needs a beautiful young highland lass to share his bed. When he takes the youngest sister of the woman he truly desires, Kate, she falls right into his hands by offering herself in exchange for her sister's freedom.

And though Ethan has promised to release Kate's sister in exchange for a night of passion, he has no intention of letting Kate go.

Review: I enjoyed this tumble. The story is timeless and the feeling is always the same. I sighed, my heart fluttered and my tummy tugged. It’s not fireworks and a plot with twists and turns. It was an erotic journey of discovery for Kate and a way for Ethan to finally claim is greatest desire—the love of Kate. It’s not long and the pages are filled with erotic imagery. I fell in love with Ethan too and Kate was a charming heroine who, like a flower late to bloom, becomes a desirable woman in Ethan’s arms. Ohh, it was just so romantic. The mean evil warlord has a tender spot and Kate is just the woman to expose it.

Blurb: Terry has lived his life according to the guidelines, by studying accounting, getting an MBA, and working for the family business. And while his work has its own rewards, something has been missing, and his eyes have only just been opened to what--or rather who--that could be.

Terry’s brothers have upped the ante in their weekly poker game. A Truth or Dare challenge. Terry can handle any dare his brothers dish out, but the demand for Truth is a different matter. Terry is honor-bound to divulge secrets he’s been ashamed to admit even to himself in the privacy of his own bedroom.

Twins Dex and Trick have finally found acceptance for their relationship in the homes of their friends. They’d never do anything to jeopardize that newfound sense of belonging. Fooling around with their friend Mischa Blake’s prissy, domineering, oh-so-sexy older brother is risky. A one-night stand might be okay, but they close ranks afterward, pushing Terry aside.

Terry isn’t going to back down without a fight. Dex and Trick are meant to be his, and he’ll do whatever it takes to make them realize all the safety and protection they need can be found in his arms.

Review: This story was easy to read. The characters had chemistry from first glance, there was a nice pace and flow to the words and in the end I thought it was an entertaining read for the most part. However, the dramatic parts are a bit over the top and became a bit contrived for me. I struggled a bit with the number of characters introduced in a short novella and the similarities in their names. But once the story gets going, many of the characters begin to fade to minor characters and some aren’t mentioned again at all. The encounters and sexual content is hot (and kinky) and in this novella, is the stand out component. It was a hot read for a hot afternoon and I think the serious is worth picking up for an arousing read.

Blurb: Determined to protect her sisters from a murderous uncle, Lizzie Prescott answers a "brides wanted" ad. She and her sisters journey to 1860s Washington Territory, a wild land of towering cedar trees and brawny lumberjacks.

Logan Gallagher brought the brides out west for his crew, not for himself, but he can’t get the red-haired beauty out of his mind. His brother, Gage, harbors his own desires for the opinionated redhead.

Can all three of them find love together in this untamed land?

Review: Yowza, now this was a historical I could get in bed with. For the beginning of a series, The First bride gives the reader just enough to hold on to without spoiling the fun for the books to follow. Never fear, you won’t be unsatisfied with the ending. The story between Lizzie, Logan and Gabe is a passionate tale. A refreshing erotic romance that allows the reader to get to know the characters and for the characters to get to know each other before they’re all jumping into bed together. Which brings me to what I loved most which was Lizzie’s contradictions. She questions whether she’s desirable, believing she wasn’t a woman to satisfy a man yet alone two men. Yet she aches to be ravished. She burns for both Logan and Gabe and I loved how she felt torn between them. Logan is a dominating, have-to-have-his-way kind of guy and Gabe is willing to let emotions unfurl naturally. The story was fantastic. Because Ms. Hunt does a wonderful job of clearly defining her characters, there is no confusing on who is doing what. From the first tummy tugging moment when Lizzie sees Logan for the first time, to the climatic conclusion, this story entertains.

Blurb: The vampires of Mina’s Cove have passed sentence. The vampire hunter’s daughter will pay for his crimes by becoming the very creature he hunts. Chosen to pass a drop of his blood then deny her, Sebastian is warned that Diana may be the one luring vampires into her father’s trap.

After one night, Sebastian realizes he would follow Diana into the light of dawn for just one more kiss…one more touch…one more taste. How can he refuse to sate her hunger when he’s grown addicted to her sweet blood and body? How can he destroy the woman he doubts even knows about her father’s crimes, the woman born to be his forever?

Diana believes she’s finally found her soul mate. But Sebastian only comes to her after the sun sets. A dark phantom she cannot resist. A lover whose scorching kisses sate a hunger that nearly drives her mad. She’d offer her body and soul to him, she’d tell him anything…except her father’s secrets.

Publisher’s Note: This story was previously published elsewhere under the title Hunting Diana.

Review: This erotic slide into the secret world of the Mina Cove vampires will pull at every emotion possible. The story isn’t easy. Diana is taken into a world without her knowledge, yet the story is a full circle of her destiny and the journey is a gripping tale. She’s where she belongs. Sebastian has lots of flaws. His history nearly makes him unlikeable…if he weren’t so damn hot! I love vampires, dark brooding blood suckers. He exudes passion and the attraction between him and Diana will curl your toes with its intensity. The story is full of wonderful scenes. You’ll be swept into the story in ways only the most talented authors can do. There are times when it’s an emotional and gripping love story and in other scenes, the tension builds to the point of a suspenseful horror. Betrayal and family dysfunction at it’s finest. This is one of the most detailed world building books I’ve read in a long time. A brilliant job of delivering a vampire tale that kept me scrolling the digital pages long into the night.

Blurb: Shirley Bloom has always taken her beauty for granted. Some think she’s spoiled, while others avoid her all together. But their judgment of her character cuts her to the quick. She longs for marriage and a true, everlasting love, however her beau has put off his proposal for far too long.

Enter Luke Austin, a foul-mouthed, sexy-as-hell cowboy who isn’t afraid to say exactly what’s on his mind. And what’s on his mind is her--underneath him, on top of him, he doesn’t care, as long as he gets to brand himself one headstrong filly.

When his raging passion merges with her own, they’re forced into a shotgun wedding neither of them saw coming. Now, Shirley laments that her chance for a true, everlasting love is gone forever.

Review: Not bad :) I am not really sure what I was expecting. The blurb really only touches on the emotions in this story. You really don't get the full brunt of everything that is going on unless you crack the virtual spine and dig in. While there were a couple times when I thought that the characters were being real #^@%#($( I also understood that this was the authors intent and it worked.

All in all it was a pretty good read. :)

Blurb: When Blaine and Jessica come out play…who knows what can happen.
Blaine and Jessica delight in fashionable hotels. Old classics like the Peabody or Arlington, or the new, modern glitzy accommodations of the big city suit their tastes. It doesn’t matter as long as adventure may present itself at the turn of a corner. Whenever possible, they find time for extended weekends away from their Louisiana plantation where cotton is still King and Jessica is the prettiest chatelaine for six parishes.
After arriving at a sparkling new hotel in the middle of steamy summertime Houston, exploration leads to the discovery of a very “cool” cigar bar where they meet the handsome young bartender, Vincent. Then suddenly, things start to get hot.
Review: This is a fun and playful quick read. However, poor editing sometimes distracts from the story flow. Despite that, this story is definitely worth reading if you like tales of voyeurism and masturbation.
