Blurb: After a car accident destroys his family, Joey is left the sole caretaker of his newborn niece, Abby. The overprotective UNEXPECTED DADDY needs childcare. When bigots set their sights on Joey, in walks the answer to his prayers, Geoff.
When twenty-six-year-old Joey Beirs is summoned to the emergency room one evening, the last thing he expects to find is that his twin brother and Jeremy’s wife have both been killed in a car accident, leaving him an UNEXPECTED DADDY to his newborn niece, Abby. Closing in on the end of his leave from work, Joey has to find suitable childcare for Abby. After yet another interview turns south, Joey is accosted by homophobic bigots and saved by Geoff Allread.
Geoff is in his forties, an out-of-work carpenter whose unemployment is running out, soon to be faced with working in fast food or retail to keep food on the table in the recession. He’s also late to come out of the closet, a wounded man that has lost everything by admitting what he is... including his daughter from his ill-fated marriage. Geoff is good with kids and adores Abby. It’s a match made in heaven. At forty-three, Geoff needs a job that doesn’t mean asking if someone wants fries, and Joey needs someone that’s good with Abby. But can both of them overcome their hurts and accept that the age difference doesn’t matter as much as finding what they’ve both lost... a stable family?

Review: This was a sweet little story about a gay uncle left to raise his niece. It ends happily, but the beginning is a little sad. Joey is the overprotective uncle, and meets Graham when he is looking for a day care to put Abby in once he has to return to work. Graham saves Joey and Abby both from some neighborhood bullies who give Joey a hard time about being gay and having a baby. Joey ends up asking Graham to be Abby's nanny, when he see's how good he is with babies and how much Abby likes him as well. As with most all of Brenna Lyons' work, I read this in one sitting, not just because it was short, but because it was good.

Blurb: Mages' Law states that a Star Mage must reproduce, if he is able. King's Law allows a mage any sexual partners he wishes. The life of a male mage who prefers the company of other men on the sheets is far from easy, but what starts as a hard lesson in survival, ends up as a hard lesson of another sort.

Review: Ms Lyon’s has penned a story of sacrifice, fear, trust and redemption. I enjoyed every magical word. Galon is a tortured soul. More than desperate need for physical love, he needs someone who understands his secret yearnings and desires. Anzel, charmed by the young Mage, offers him sanctuary and with each touch, love. But Galon’s physical scars reveal the severity of his emotional damage. Can he believe in Anzel, trust in him to share a life not filled with pain? Read His Master’s Lover to discover how love can heal the most broken of men.

Blurb: Money clips and microchips...that's what little boys are made of. Lace and flair and grave malware...that’s what little girls are made of.

Who knew a fatal crash could feel so good? Houston Lawton's sons are every woman's dream men: successful, intelligent, rich. There's just one little problem; they can't feel love. A jaded woman might claim that's typical of the breed, but they're not clueless. Cybernetic inhibitors suppress the emotion to stabilize their neuro-processors. They've never lost control...until now.

Review: There is a lot of story packed into a few pages. For this reason and because I didn’t want to miss a thing, I had to read a bit slower. There were a few shaky spots where I wasn’t quite “in” the story, but Ms Lyons quickly amps up the action and brought me right back. The sex is hot but the tease is even hotter.

Blurb: Welcome to Lenvia, where the young prince has been given a year to choose a wife or have one chosen for him. Hoping for a desperate family to send an innocent into the fray, Edward arranges a series of Bride Balls--outrageous sexual events--and a willing decoy in his bid to find someone who loves him for himself and not his crown.

Enter Amber, daughter of a dead lord on his beloved mistress, a servant in her own household. When her irrepressible grandmother pushes her to find a husband or lover to protect her from the wrath of her step-mother, Amber loses more than her virginity...but it’s not a glass slipper that the prince has to track her with.

The race is on. Before these two are through, more than one couple may find their way through the traps of poison, lies, and no-win choices forged at a long ago Bride Ball and left to fester through two generations of the royal family.

Review: What little girl didn't love the story about Cinderella when she was young? Well, now as grown women we can have our own version....an adult version :)

Though I am not 100% sure if this was a historical, contemporary or what I still like it very much. Good characters, great bad guys (err girls), super sex and a great spin on the classic tale......with some extra thrown in there :)

I enjoyed all three parts in this book and have to say that the way the author gave them to us was cool. All angles were covered and I didn't feel like I was being left in the dark.

Congrats Ms Lyons, on a job well done. I can't wait to read more from you :)
