Review: Let me start by saying that the plot and story line for this story was well thought out and complete. The emotion was real and the characters had depth. Please be aware when looking at this story that it contains some subject matter that some may find....touchy.

The subject of child prostitution has exploded in the media and while this horrific problem has been around for years it has not garnered nearly the attention it has now. The heroine in this tale was a victim. Plain and simple. She was sold by her bio mom before she was 10 and the woman who bought her used her as a prostitute. While I realize that this story touches on a subject that is VERY real, I didn't "feel" much of the romance in the story because I was more wrapped up in her past and pain.

My stomach rolled and I cried more than once. As a fictional story that touches on a dark and scary subject I think it was top notch....but as a romance....not so much for me.

Thanks for posting this review! I haven't read "The Brat," but I think I will now.

I love romance, and as a reader, I'm rarely satisfied with stories that don't contain at least some hint of a romance. My tastes vary depending on my mood. Sometimes I want the lighthearted fluff, but more often lately I'm looking for stories with some depth, some meaning beyond just two people falling in love.

What I'm looking for in a romance is a greater message that love can and does change someone's reality, for the better, that love transcends all, I suppose.

Child pornography IS a tough subject, but isn't it a hopeful message that we can find love even amidst the horror of the world?

Thanks again – great review!
