Blurb: Perry has a talent. Lies are bitter as aloes and truths are apple-sweet. This, the too-attractive Drew Connors and the dilapidated mansion Perry has to restore, plus the anonymous threats that escalate to attempted murder, ensure Perry's life will never be the same again.

Review: This book has everything. Great characters, a plot with twists and turns, a love story with grit, and an unexpected ending. Perry is perfect. He’s a man with hidden strength, deep emotions, and some sexual insecurities. I ached for him in the beginning. He suffers a betrayal, and as much as it hurts him, he makes a decision and sticks to it. Just because we love someone doesn’t make them good for us. Perry understands this and is strong enough to walk away. The paranormal elements are believable and not overly dramatic. Through an accident, he not only receives his “gift” of lie detection, he also meets Drew Connors. Perry struggles to accept the powerful attraction he feels for Drew, but when sinister occurrences begin to happen around him, he realizes life is too fragile not to live to the fullest. Drew is a complicated man who is able to carry family and financial burdens well. He’s a man who goes after what he wants and he gets things done. He’s also loyal, compassionate and sexy as hell. (I want a Drew for myself.) As the sexual tension thickens between Perry and Drew, you hold your breath knowing it’s going to be explosive when the come together.

On top of the great characters, the story is fabulous. The attention to detail and the descriptions paint a vivid picture. Chris brilliantly weaves all together suspense elements, sexual tension, action and dialog.
